I tap my fingers on the table of the Slytherin common room as I wait for Draco to get back. Hoping he'd beat Crabbe and Goyle here. I had just recently gotten back from my little run in with Crabbe and Goyle and I was intent on telling Draco what had happened. I perk up when I hear the stone door open as a smile plays on my face Draco comes and sits down across from me.
"What's wrong? That's the darkest smile I have ever seen you give me." He states worry shining in his blue eyes.
"Crabbe and Goyle threatened me." I state bluntly looking away from him.
"They what!?" He yelled I nod my head to him. He curls his hands into fists and hit the table with a loud *bang!* causing me to jump a bit.
"Why'd they threaten you?" He asks looking into my chocolate eyes.
"Umm," I bit my lip nervously, "they threatened to tell you that I was hanging with Jada. I know I know you don't like them but you weren't here." I murmur looking at the table. I lays a gentle hand on mine that were folded on the table.
“It’s okay I understand. They-” he was interrupted by the stone door opening and guess who? Yup Crabbe and Goyle were standing there their faces turning from amused to worried to pleased.
“Ah, Draco just the person we were looking for.” Goyle smirks at me as they walk over.
“He already knows, and guess who he’s mad at.” I sneer throwing daggers at him with my eyes. You could see him gulp as he took a small step back.
“What in the bloody hell were you thinking!? Threatening her! She was doing nothing wrong. Just finding people to talk to while I was gone! Gryffindor or not. They are her friends and you need to respect that.” Draco said barely staying calm. His hand squeezing mine just a little bit. I give him a small smile before looking back at Crabbe and Goyle giving them a daring smirk.
“We um uh we Crabbe?” Goyle stammers looking away from Draco’s death stare.
“I’m sorry Draco we just thought she should’ve-” Crabbe was interrupted by Draco.
“She should have what? Just up and leave her friends?” Draco’s eyes were flames of blue he was furious. I move one of my hands from under his and lay it gently on his and rub small comforting circles on the back of his hand. He turned his gaze from the boys to me his eyes smoldering a little.
“Draco it’s okay really. It’s not like they would actually do anything. Besides come to you like lost puppies to report my every move because they’re jealous that you don’t spend time with them. Please just calm down its not like nothing happened ok?” I keep my eyes locked on his rubbing bigger circles on his hand. He sighed and relaxed his shoulders as he slumped into the chair.
“I guess you’re right,” he sighed turning his gaze back to the boys, “Don’t let it happen again.” Crabbe and Goyle nodded turning and hightailing it to the boys common room. Draco stood up and held his arm out to me.
“Come on lets go to the Great Hall. I’m starved.” Draco said with a small smile I give him a smile in return and taking his arm as I stand up.
“Let’s go!” I say cheerfully as we walk out of the stone door. I stop as I hear hushed whispers.
“Don’t think I’m not watching you Quirl. I know you’re up to something.” a deep voice said which sounded an awful lot like Snape’s.
“Y-yes P--Professor.” Quirl stuttered. I tightened my grip on Draco’s arm tilting my head in the direction of the Great Hall. Draco looked from the turn off to the corner where the Professor’s are to the direction of the Great Hall. He let out a quiet sigh and we walk towards the Great Hall. Once seated I scan the room looking for the familiar faces of Hermione, Harry, Ron, and Jada. Once I spot them I excuse myself and walk over to their table.
“I have news.” I murmur so only they could hear me.
