It was a Monday, a week before school started up again. It was a warm morning. Jamie put on some ripped jeans she made herself and a navy blue t-shirt with a anchor on it. She pulled back her brown hair with green high lights into a low braid. She then left to have breakfast at Pops, she heard it was the best place to people watch, which is what she really needed to do before school started. Get a good outlook of the people.
She sat in Pops looking out the widow. "Hi sugar, my name is Taylor" a young adult woman said. "What can I get you?"
"oh um..." Jamie looked in the menu.
"New here?" A blond girl her age asked. She wore a pink shirt with light color jeans.
"That obvious?" Jamie asked putting the menu down.
"No one here at Pops pick up a menu unless their new" Said the blonde girl. "One vanilla milk shake, and for you?"
"Uh.." Jamie flipped through the menu again, "chocolate please"
"Got it" And Taylor walked off.
"I'm Betty, what's your name, where's you from?" Betty asked sitting across from Jamie.
"I'm Jamie, Jamie Miller. I'm from Connecticut" Jamie said.
"What grade?"
"Sophomore."
"Perfect, wanna mentally meet my some people in our class?"
"Uuuhh... sure" Jamie said confused.
In the background they heard the rev of a motorcycle. They looked out the window, to see two people hop off the motorcycle. The girl took her helmet off, her hair waved in the air. Brown with neon pink streaks, two that cropped her face and few more in the back of her hair. She wore a pink croptop with a vest with a symbol of a serpent on the back. She wore short black shorts. The guy took off his helmet and replaced it with a beany. He wore a white tank and jeans with a flannel wrapped around his waist. "Julia Elizabeth Keller-Carter and Forsythe Pendleton Jughead Jones the Third, aka Jughead. Basically Queen and King of Riverdale High. They are the reason Northside and Southside get along. Julia is the daughter of the Sheriff and the queen of serpents, divorced but still close. Jughead is the son of FP Jones, king serpent, and Gladys Jones. Their still together. Julia and Jug have been best friends since birth, dating since 6th grade, no love is stronger than theirs. Julia's actually my cousin. Her mom and my dad are brother and sister" The two walked in and sat with another couple, a girl with raven hair and a guy with a red fiery hair. Jamie had to spin around to get a good look. "The people they are sitting with, Veronica Lodge and archie Andrews."
"Lodge?" Jamie asked, her heart skipped a beat.
"Yeah, moved last year for a new start, do you know them?"
"Um .. nope" Jamie lied. "Just interesting last name"
"Yeah, anyway they've been dating for a bit now, maybe 7 months. Archie has been best friend with Julia and Jughead since birth. And Veronica is my bestie." Betty then pointed to the bar where three dark skinned girl teens sat eating breakfast. "That is Josie and The Pussy Cats, our school band. In the middle is Josie, they Mayor's kid, and Julia's soon to be official step sister, the mayor and sheriff are engaged. The two next to her are Valerie and Melody. And don't try messing with them, they bite back hard." Then Betty pointed further down the bar to a red headed teen wearing all red with a serpent logo and next to her a girl with brown and purple hair with a dark serpent jacket. "The iconic Cheryl Blossom and Toni Topaz. Full warning don't wear too much red. Cheryl is known to be snappy about people wearing her color. Toni, her girlfriend, is the only one aloud to wear a lot of red. They've been dating for three months now." Betty then pointed to three boys sitting at a booth behind her. "And final mental introduction, Kevin Keller, Fangs Fogarty, and Sweet Pea Amez. Kevin is Julia's twin, gay brother, he's dating fangs. And Sweet Pea is their adopted brother. His father married their mom. Good people. Sweet Pea is still a bit tough. Even though Serpents and northsiders see eye to eye, he has his moment where he believe steps are being taken backward when they aren't"
