It was week before homecoming. A month since Jame and Sweet Pea have been together. Jamie and Sweet Pea meant in the hall outside of the lounge. "Hello beautiful" Sweet Pea smiled grabbing Jamie by the waist.
"Hey Dreamboat" Jamie smiled at silly nickname he gave him. The two kissed.
"Hey lovebird get yourselves in here Veronica wants to talk to us" Kevin said.
When Kevin walked back in Sweet Pea said "Wow that really is annoying"
"You wanna know whats more annoying, hearing your sister complain about you barging in, so stop barging in" Jamie laughed, Sweet Pea gave her a small shove before walking into the lounge. In their was Cheryl, Toni, Kevin, Fangs, Veronica, Archie, Josie, Betty, Julia, and Jughead. Jamie and Sweet Pea sat on the couch next to Julia and Jughead.
"I'm glad you're all here. I have a favor to ask. I want you all to attend my baptism." Veronica said.
"Baptism, isn't that for babies?" Jughead asked.
"Yes, but it can also be done for a second time to, really cure you, of all sins." Veronica explained.
"Sounds like your father needs a baptism" Cheryl said.
"No kidding, but please, I'd love for you all to come. It'll be Sunday at noon." Veronica begged.
"We're down" Kevin said gesturing to himself and Fangs.
"Fine. Toni and I will go. Just make sure we're far away from your father." Cheryl said in a huff.
"Don't worry. All my bestest friends will be in one row far from my father." Veronice assured.
"Jug and I will go V" Julia said. Jug looked her with that look of, seriously, but she shoved him away.
"Sweet Pea and I too" Jamie said with a polite smile though Sweet Pea could tell she didn't really want to, so he rested his hand on her thigh which let Jamie lean into him.
"I'm in for you V" Betty said.
"Me too, and if there is any singing thats needed to be done I'll be willing to." Josie said.
"Actually there might be. I'll text you the deets. But thank you all, I really appreciate it." The bell ranged for first class and everyone started to leave. Sweet Pea held Jughead back as the girls went along to class.
"how are you asking Julia to homecoming?" Sweet Pea asked.
"Normally, by just asking with some flowers. She doesn't want anything big until senior year. Why? Trying to find out how to ask Jamie?" Jughead asked.
"Kinda yeah" Sweet Pea asked with sweaty palms.
"Take her on a date, and ask her then. Don't do anything to big, if she's anything like I think she is, and trust me, you know I read people well, she doesn't want anything big. Just something... sweet." Jughead winked.
"I hate my name" Sweet Pea said throwing his arms up.
"Cheer up chap, at least its not Forsythe Pendleton" Jughead remarked.
After school Sweet Pea was walking Jamie to her truck. When they got there Sweet Pea asked, "So I was thinking, do you have anything Wednesday?"
"Hanging out with your.. nope her and Jug are going out so nope." Jamie said.
"Do you wanna go to pops for dinner?" Sweet Pea asked nervous.
"For a month and you're still nervous, I most be so scary" Jamie said sarcastically. I'll see you tomorrow Dreamboat of Death." Jamie kissed on the cheek then hopped in her truck and drove home.
