2 Sorting Ceremony and the letter from dumbledore 2

JAMES POTTER P.O.V

We headed into hogwarts after taking a boat across the black lake, we were greeted bye a women with black hair pulled into a  tight bun. "Greetings first years I am your professor, McGonagall the sorting ceremony will start in a moment " she says. "There are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. While you are here your house will be like your family" she continues on saying how you will gain and lose house points. I spot that red headed girl, " hi there what's your name, I'm James" I say to the girl, she has nice bright green eyes. "I'm Lily Evans and this is my friend Severus Snape" Lily says, I chuckle " What's funny?" She asked. "Your name is Severus, more like Snivellus" I say continue to laugh, looking at the boy with greasy black hair and a hooked nose. Sirius, Peter, and Remus laugh as well. "Jerk, come on Sev" she said, rolling her eyes at us.

"The sorting ceremony will begin, follow me" professor McGonagall says after returning. She begins walking towards big doors, opening them to reveal a great hall with 4 long tables and 1 at the front were around 15 people sat, and at the front in front of the table is a stool with a old patchy looking hat on it. " I will call your names and you will come up here to be sorted" McGonagall says.

"Frank Longbottom"
A boy with dark brown hair, walks up.
"GRYFFINDOR" The hat calls out

A few other people go up after, 2 Hufflepuff, 1 Gryffindor, and 1 Ravenclaw.

"Lily Evans"
The red headed girl went up. Seconds later "GRYFFINDOR!"

Next was Severus Snape
"Interesting, interesting it would be.... SLYTHERIN!"

"Remus Lupin"
Remus walked up
" secreted, very secreted, but brave. I'll say GRYFFINDOR!!"

Person after person they get sorted

"Sirius Black"
My friend walks up
" oh another black, but you don't meet slytherin standards, very brave and confident, I think you'll be GRYFFINDOR!"

"Marlene McKinnon"
"GRYFFINDOR"

Then Peter went up it took about 5 minutes for the sorting hat to decide "GRYFFINDOR!"

Finally I go up get put in Gryffindor.

REMUS LUPIN P.O.V

After is everyone is sorted we all sit down. "Now let the feast begin" says who we were introduced to, Headmaster Dumbledore.

Suddenly food appears in front of us, Sirius immediately starts to fill his plate as well as James. I took my time putting mostly meat on my plate.(author note- I'm not writing much of wormtail cause he kinda makes me insanely mad) "Hey Evans how are you" James says to Lily 'he probably has a crush on her' I think to myself. "Leave me alone" Lily says back

"Gryffindors follow me" the Gryffindor prefect says, we follow him "Ravenclaws follow me—— hurry up" You could hear the Ravenclaw prefect in the background speak. "Be careful the stairs....they like to change" Gryffindor prefect says 'I don't know him so I have no clue what his name is so I'm calling him Gryffindor prefect' I think to myself. "What does he mean by 'they like to change'" I hear Sirius asked the 3 of us, I point up to a moving staircase. "Oh ok" Sirius says. We get up to the to the portrait, "password" the fat women in the portrait says. "Caput Draconis" (author note- can someone tell me what the password was when the marauders were in hogwarts) after the prefect says that the portrait opens "follow me———follow me————quicker!" The prefect says we followed him into the portrait "this is the common room, girls dorm up the stairs to the right and boys up the stairs to the left, your stuff will already be in your dorm" the prefect says. I follow Sirius into the dorms, James follows behind. There is a letter on bed, from Dumbledore. I open it upt

I ask of you to come to my office and speak

"Guys I'll be right back". I tell James and Sirius "alright bye" Sirius says to me, James waves. "See you guys later" I say leaving the dormitory's. I leave the common room only now realizing I have no clue how to get there, I see a Hufflepuff girl talking to two Slytherins, I'll ask them. "Excuse me, do you know how to get to Dumbledore's office? I'm Remus Lupin by the way." I ask them. "I'm Taylor and these are my friend's gabby and Isabel, Dumbledore's office should be in the west tower, go to the griffin, and say 'lemon drop' and that should take you to the office" The Hufflepuff says, I walk away as she continues talking to her friends. After I get to the west towers I see the statue of a griffin. "Lemon drop" I say, as soon as I say it the griffin starts spinning and stair start going up, I hope on a step and the stairs stop moving so I go up them. I get to the top and enter Dumbledore's office. "Headmaster Dumbledore, hat did you need me for?" I ask him even though I knew exactly what he wants to talk about " I'd like to talk about your werewolf transformation each month and how you can transform safely" Dumbledore says, knew it "ok, go on then" I say. "Each month on the full moon madam Pomfrey and Professor McGonagall will take you to the whomping willow that leads to a shack so you can transform safely" Dumbledore says. "Alright, is there anything else you need?" I ask. "No you can head back to your dorm, remember classes start tomorrow" Dumbledore tells me. "Ok, have a good evening sir" I say turning around to leave, and walk out.

WITH JAMES AND SIRIUS

"Were is heeeeeee" Sirius asks James. "He left the letter though wanna read it?" James says back to Sirius. "Sure, it couldn't hurt" they both grab for the letter, Sirius grabs first and reads it aloud

Sirius finishes reading. "Wonder what he needs to talk to Dumbledore about"James says "I guessed could ask when he gets back" Sirius says back.
