It's the Friday before Christmas break. The bus stopped in front of the school. I paused The Ballad of Mona Lisa and took my earbuds out. I got off the bus and continued to my first period. I sat down beside Laura and Zach. I got out my science book and put it on my desk. Laura and Zach were gossiping about something and they didn't notice I walked in. I sat down behind them and tapped their shoulders.

"Addy!" Laura stood up and hugged me. She knows I hate hugs. She knows all too well that the only person who could ever hug me is Brendon Urie. "Sorry. I'm just so excited about break!"

"So am I!" I said. "So what's up with you guys?"

"Well, I think I'm really falling for Hannah," he said.

Before we go on, I should tell you about Zach. He says he hates hanging around guys because they're all douchebags. He says girls actually know how to have a good time, so he hangs out with me and Laura. About a week ago, a new girl moved here from Wyoming. Her name is Hannah Perrine. As soon as Zach saw her, an instant crush formed. Hannah has long, wavy, black hair that comes to about the middle of her back. She has tan skin and dark blue eyes like the evening sky. She seems really shy and she loves music; all she does is sit alone and listen to music on her iPod. A few days ago, Zach walked up to Hannah and said "hi" to her. She took out her earbuds, and they talked for the rest of the lunch period. He invited her to his house yesterday, and I had yet to hear how it went.

"Oh yeah? Did Hannah come to your house yesterday?" I asked.

"She did," Zach replied with a half-smile. He flipped his dark brown hair out of his eyes and to the side. "Apparently she doesn't live far from me, so she just walked over after school. She told me how happy she was that someone welcomed her and actually wanted to talk to her. We really hit it off."

"Can I tell her??!"

"No Laura! It's my story!" Zach said.

"Plleaaaaassssssssseee--"

"Ok fine just tell her!" Zach said with a chuckle.

"They. Made. Out. For like 2 hours straight!"

"Oh my god Zach! You guys just met! You must really like each other," I said.

As Mr. Williamson walked in, I leaned to Zach and whispered, "Let's get these teen hearts beating faster, faster."

He whispered back, "Don't make me start thinking about last night again, Ad! You might give me a boner!" He chuckled but there was some truth behind it and it made me wonder how great his night really was.

I looked at the clock. 8:15. 7 hours until break, my favorite holiday, food, hanging out with friends, and fangirling over P!ATD. This would be the best break ever.
