Hey, just wanted to ask what you think of this book so far. Are there any changes you would like me to make? Please comment down below because your support and response would mean so much to me! I don't care if it's critism, just as long as it's not harsh. Hope you enjoy!
+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+The sun blazed down on me from above. I had no idea why jogging nearing lunch time was a good idea. I wasn't in a hurry to go anywhere, which was why I was wondering why I was going near my maximum speed. Maybe I was crazy. Maybe I needed more sleep. Maybe I need sunscreen because of the stupid sun making my face hurt as heck despite having a cap on my head. At least my arms were protected from its dangerous UV rays with the help of my jacket. The only drawback was the fact that it was it was scorching. Exhaustion started wearing me out and I, defeated, went to sit on a nearby bench as I wiped sweat from my brow. I reached into my pocket brought out my towel, wiping most of the sweat on my face.
"Hey. You're here again."
I cringed a little bit as I heard that voice. I recognized it. I recognized it from YouTube videos, but I recognized it from real life now, too.
"Yeah..." I replied, gritting my teeth.
"Don't wanna be nosey, but you must be a really sad dude," Adam said, sitting two meters away from me, which made him sit at the edge of the bench. Social distancing.
"Wait, what?" I asked, my mind gone blank. Not entirely blank, though. More of, blank. But speckled with bits and pieces of thoughts. Kind of like the Arizonian deserts. It felt... something else. This guy was something else, and not only in his YouTube name. I had a feeling that he was the first person to ever be able to sense that, but I had no idea where that feeling came from. Even I was completely unaware of my loneliness. I was alone, but I didn't feel sad or lonely.
"Sorry," Adam said, drinking water.
"Eh... Maybe I am..." I replied, not really wanting to think about it. I placed my hand in my pocket, where I usually inserted my water bottle, but I internally groaned as I realized that I had forgotten to bring it with me today.
"Dude, that must suck," Adam said, placing his water bottle on the bench as he wiped his sweat with his own towel.
"Yeah..." My mind was still mostly blank.
"Animating helps me keep my mind off things." I managed to see Adam looking at me with a smile out of the corner of my eye.
"Really?" I asked, deciding to have a little bit of eye contact. Is this why he takes much longer to update compared to the other Animation YouTubers? I was aware of his ever-growing despising against YouTube, though. I, as well as so many other people, considered it unfair with how YouTube just demonitized him from out of the blue. I also despised the current 'Algorithm.' It made animators receive a lot less love than they should.
"Yeah. Wanna try it?" Adam asked, his smile as bright and enthusiastic as ever.
My mind froze. For the past few weeks I had been trying to get into the Animation Community without the animation part. Could it be that I could actually be joining the community with the animation part? My heart thudded in my chest. I could almost hear it. I could certainly feel it. My blood started rushing through my veins at high speeds with adrenaline.
"Sure," I said, mentally face-palming at how lame I sounded.
"Let's go," Adam said, picking his water bottle and standing up.
