-Cassidy-

"Ugghhhh" I groan when I eventually wake up in the morning, or well actually afternoon. I can tell by the intense light coming through my window that I had slept well past 12.

I roll over and feel around my bed until my fingers wrap around my phone. I take a quick glance through my notifications none of which I find important except one text from Calum:

Calum: come to my room when you wake up

I sigh, I can already hear the lecture I was about to get from Calum. I decide to take a shower before I go see Calum. Partly because I wanted to put it off for a little longer and partly because I couldn't stand the smell of myself.

I take a long shower. I only decide to get out when my hour long playlist started to repeat. I get out and get changed into a comfy pair of shorts and a tank. I take in a long breath and start to head to Calums room.

I knock on the door softly and slowly open the door. I see Calum at his desk playing some video game. I flop on his bed as I hear him tell the people he was playing with that he'd be right back.

He spins around to look at me with a look of disapproval present. I sit up and stare at my fingers, doing everything in my power not to look at him. I know it seems silly that Calum is about to scold me and that I'm this tore up about it bu me and him are close. Like really close, I feel like I can talk to him about almost anything. With our parents not being around most of the time we've kinda learned to lean on each other.

"Cassidy what happened last night?" Calum asks with disappointment.

And that is when the waterworks start,"Calum I'm so so so sorry that I drank last night and that I left your side even though I promised I wouldn't I was just sad that I didn't have any friends and I wanted to have fun and let go for a little bit and you were having fun talking to your friends so I didn't want to ask you to leave and I know I was being a pest and hard to find and I'm sorry and i'll never do it again." My sentences began to run together because I was talking so fast and I didn't stop until Calum pulled me into a hug.

"Hey, hey it's okay. I'm not mad at you. I was just worried about you." He rubs my back trying to calm me down. And after a few minutes I have myself composed enough to speak.

"So you're not mad at me?" I ask.

"No of course not, just don't ever do that again." He says sternly but with a hint of playfulness.

I smile and nod at him glad that that was over with.

"Now get out of my room." he says while throwing a pillow at me.

I laugh as I hop off the bed and head towards the door. Just as I'm about to reach the door I hear Calum call after me,

"Hey I'm having some friends over tonight so don't bother us" he says with a cheeky grin.

I just shake my head and make my way back to my room. Of course I wasn't going to bother them. When he has friends over I usually just sit in my room while he takes over the downstairs. It didn't bother me much, it's not like I had anything in common with them anyways. I was just Calums little sister.

I had spent the majority of the day reading and listening to music before finally settling in to watch some netflix. I browse through the new releases but ultimately end on The Vampire Diaries. My favorite show of all time!

I'm a couple episodes in when I finally glance down at my phone. I had a few texts from my best friend  Brooke but that's about it. I stand up and stretch deciding to go get me something to eat since I was getting hungry.

I skip downstairs and into the kitchen to look through the fridge. I decide on a smoothie and start taking the stuff out to make one. Once I get everything in the blender I hit the blend button. It takes a minute but everything gets to the perfect consistency and I stop the blender. Calum must have heard me because within second him and his friends came barging in the kitchen.

I'm still putting things back in the fridge so I can't see them but they are making a lot of noise.

"Care to make me one, little sis" Calum says while ruffling my hair.

I smack his hand away and say, "no way make your own,"

Calum just laughs and I finally turn around to see who all was in the kitchen. My eyes first land on Micheal with his bright red hair and I smile. He had dyed it recently because I could still see the stains on his neck from the dye.  Then my eyes land on Ashton one of Calums newer friends and then finally Luke and my cheeks instantly flush.

I didn't expect him to be here, but I mean why wouldn't he be he's one of Calums best friends. I take my eyes off Luke and find a tile on the floor that has suddenly become very interesting. Calum seems to sense the shift in my mood and instantly makes the situation ten times more awkward by bringing it up,

"What's up with you? Why are you acting so weird?" He questions me.

I open my mouth to speak not wanting to admit that I had puked and then sobbed into Lukes arms the night before. But then Calum unknowingly comes to my rescue,

"Ohhh it's because I haven't introduced you to Ashton. Ashton this is my little sister Cassidy, Cassidy this is Ashton."

Ashton smiles and waves at me and I let out a sigh of relief.

"hey Ashton nice to formally meet you, now if you'll excuse me Vampire Diaries is calling my name." I grab my smoothie and my phone and head upstairs to my room to avoid Luke for the rest of the night.

It's now 3 a.m. and I cant' seem to sleep. My mind is just all over the place. But i'm also extremely bored. So I do the only thing I can think of. An impromptu dance party. I turn some Shawn Mendes on careful so it's not to loud and starting dancing around my room. And I have gotten really into it when I hear a soft chuckle from the door.

I freeze where I am and slowly turn to look and see who it is. And much to my dismay it's Luke.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry was the music to loud? I thought I had it turned down enough." I ramble as I rush to turn off my speaker.

"No, no you didn't wake me. I was going to the bathroom and I heard the music and since the rest of the boys are asleep I thought I could keep you company."

"oh," I say as my cheeks flush and I tuck my hair behind my ears, "that was nice of you but you don't have to do that I'm not very interesting to talk to."

Luke just stands their and scratches the back of his neck. "Well actually I just wanted to talk about last night."

I purse my lips and sit criss cross on my bed,"what about?"

"I just wanted to let you know it's not a big deal what happened and you don't have to act all awkward around me now."

"I know it was just embarrassing you know,  I don't want to look like a little kid who can't handle their alcohol." I say while playing with my fingers.

Luke makes his way over and sits down next to me, " Cass I'm telling you it's okay you don't have to be embarrassed around me. I don't want things to be awkward between us especially since im over here a lot. Let's just forget about it?"

I bite my lip and think I would much rather forget about this then keep thinking about it so after a minute I slowly start to nod, "yeah okay let's just put this behind us."

Luke smiles and stands up to head for the door. When he reaches the door he turns around and starts to sing,

"Something big I feel it happening.." as he dances out of the room mocking me from earlier. I gasp and chuck a pillow at the closing door.

I smile and think that Luke has a really great voice.
