Enjoy XoListen to 'Mad Hatter' By Melanie Martinez.
It's been 2 months since I've moved to Riverdale. A preppy little town where everyone is happy and cheery.
I hate it.
I'm used to being alone and not having people trying to get all up in my business.
School sucks. It's the typical high school. You have the jocks and cheerleaders. Nerds and rejects. I'd say I'm more a reject. A social outcast. I'd rather be alone then with people.
I walk into the library and take a sit at the back. I grab my book and begin reading. After a few minutes of peace and quite, I hear the door open and close and the patter of feet walking in. I groan and look over my book.
Archie Andrews. The perfect boy of Riverdale. All the girls flaunt themselves at him. Not me. I think he's a typical jerk acting nice.
Next was Veronica Lodge and her lap dog Betty Cooper. Veronica was your typical high school bitch. Betty was the opposite. Although, I did hear she went psycho on one of the other jocks. That's something I would of loved to see.
Lastly, we have Jughead Jones. Who looks like he would rather be swallowed up by the earth then be sitting with Archie and how two minions. I laugh to myself at the look on Jugheads face.
Jughead is the only person at this damn school who is worthy of my time. He's an outcast just like me. He loves reading and wringing. He's currently writing a crime/murder book about some kids named Jason Blossom who died here recently. I knew nothing about it and I didn't want to know.
The less I know the better.
I look up and see Jughead staring at me. I roll my eyes and begin reading again. Don't get me wrong, Jughead is hot. But i'm not here for relationships or even friendships.
I start to hear Archie talking to his little group about something. I try my best to ignore them, but his voice goes through me. I look up and see that Jughead isn't even listening to the conversation. Archie goes on and on for s good 20 minutes. I've had enough. I pack my things and walk out.
I head to Pops Diner. It's a cute little vintage diner that is open 24 hours. So whenever I need my chocolate milkshake, I can always get one here. I smile and take a seat my seat at my usual booth.
"You want the usual, lovely?" Pops comes over and asks.
"Yes please." I smile and hand him some money. "Keep the change."
"You will always be my favourite customer." Pops smiles and walks away.
I laugh and carry on reading my book.
Pops comes back with my chocolate milkshake and fries, he always gives me tones of fries and I can never finish them off. I thank him and begin eating.
I hear the bell of the diner door open and close. I ignore it and continue with my book.
"There you are."
I look up and see Jughead smiling at me. I look around and then look back at him.
"You're talking to me? Why would you be looking for me?" I ask confused.
"I saw you leave he library and I wanted to make sure you're ok." He shrugs.
"I'm fine. Please leave." I groan and put my book up, so I can't see his face.
I hear him sigh. "You can't keep pushing me away, (Y/N)."
"I'm not. I'm fucked up and don't need people knowing all my shit." I tell him while placing my book down.
"I'm crazy, Jughead. I'm literally nuts. I'm going out of my mind and I don't know what to do." I exclaim.
"All the best people are crazy."
