It was already evening when we were done making love. When I checked my cellphone for the time, I shot up from the backseat because it was a quarter past 7PM. We dressed in a hurry.
Shit! I forgot I had an important meeting!
Though my mood was turning sour, I exerted effort to not Beam know. I just had him drive me to the resturant where I will meet Mr. Phana Kongthanin.
Fuck! Time passes fast when I'm with Beam.
I informed the hostess in a rush of my reservation. She led me to the table where Mr. Phana Kongthanin was waiting for me, his mood evidently not pleasant. I walked up to him immediately and greeted him. He stood up to leave but I was able to make him stay put.

"Uhm, hi Mr. Phana, oh uhm, Mr. Kongthanin? I'm Jaturapoom Jamornhum. You can call me Forth. I'm so sorry. Look. I would completely understand if you are furious with me for being so rude and I would do anything you want to, so please just hear me out." I pleaded.
He just looked at me stoically so I continued. "I'm always on time but my daughter Angel was sick tonight and I took her to the doctor and I lost track of time. I apologize."
"I'm about to go to New York for inauguration, but I made this meeting my priority. But you..." He spoke in a harsh tone. It's evident that he was keepong himself from exploding. "Just call my office to re-schedule."
"Thank you for understanding." I humbly bowed in reverence.
"I hope your daughter feels better." He stood up and walked away in big strides.
"Have a safe trip." I maintained my bow until he was gone.
"Where did I put that out in the universe. Fuck it!" I exclaimed when I realized that I used my daughter's name to get through a tight rope.
Angel is sick? So stupid! Fucking liar!
But...
Several times.
It happened several times more that I lied just to escape tight spots born out of my irresponsibility when I lost track of time. I forgot to attend Ming's famoly day celebrationnin school. My son sulked so hard but I couldn't do anything. I was late again in my dinner date with my wife. It slipped my mind to buy a doll for Angel and all other petty mistakes.
When I'm with Beam, he's the only one who is important to me. Fuck! My mind is filled with nothing else but Beam. I can't get enough of him when we're together. I thought of leaving him was so foreign to me that I'm unable to tell him that I needed to go, much less, lie to him.

Months passed and I continued with my tryst with Beam. I didn't mind that something bad might happen to me or to my family. The only thing on my mind was that I like what I'm doing. I'm happy to have Beam in my arms. I was finally enjoying the blissful feeling that I have long deprived myself. The joy that only Beam can bring to my life.
