Forth POV

I went to work the following day. I settled on what I needed to do: stop this madness while it's still early. When I arrived at the office, I first looked for my secretary.

"Lam, where's the contract with Mr. Baramee Vongviphan?" I opened our business that morning.

"Here." He handed me the documents I needed. "By the way, your meeting with Mr. Phana Kongthanin is this coming Thursday at 7PM sharp, okay? I made the reservation for you in your favorite high end resturant."

I held the set of papers in my hand absentmindedly. "Hey! Are you listening?

"Yes, I'm listening. This is the contract right?" I clarified.

"Yes, it is. Listen Forth, that meeting is important, you need to be there." My secretary stressed.

"Don't worry! I'll be there." He looked at me unconvinced. But he left me on my table and exited my office.

I raised the contract and started tearing it. Then, I scribbled a message at the back.

"I'm sorry I can't do this. I'm cancelling your contract. I'm really sorry."

I then placed the shredded paper inside an envelope. I called for a messenger to deliver the document to Beam's address. But when the messenger arrived, I had second thoughts in sending it.

"Uhm, no. Nevermind. I'll take care of this." I told the messenger. There's this mysterious force stopping me from doing it. I really can't fathom what's happening to me. Everything's fucked up!

Thursday morning. I drived to Beam's workshop first thing to personally deliver the news that I cancelled our contract. I figured I ought to explain it to him to make things crystal clear. I want him to understand where I was coming from and we won't have any bad blood.

When I arrived at the workshop, I immediately went inside. Like last time, both gate and front door were open. I climbed up the stairs to Beam's living area but found it locked.

"Hi!" A voice said behind me. It sounded like an elderly lady.

I turned around found an old woman as expected. "Uhm, hello khun."

"Are you looking for Beam?"

"Ah yes khun. I was supposed to give something to him."

"Unfortunately, he's not around. He left an hour ago. You can just leave it to me and I'll hand it to him." suggested by the old lady.

"Errr... it's kind of confidential, khun. It's okay. I'll just come back to give it to him." I respectfully decline. I'd rather settle this right then and there.

"You can trust me, Forth. I can give it to him without a hitch." The lady added.

"Oh, you know my name khun?" I was astonished that she called me by my name.

"Of course. Beam has told me all about you." She smiled. But after a few seconds it faded. "Uhm, Forth, I have something to request from you."

She suddenly sounded serious. "What is it khun?"

"Beam is a sensitive one so I hope you won't hurt him. I've been taking care of him since he was a child. That's why I know everything about him, even his sexuality." The old lady narrated. So she's Beam's catetaker, I guess.

A/N: Here, we can such person as "Yaya". It's usually translated as nanny. But since Filipinos are family-oriented. Yayas are considered as part of the family.
