Anders woke up feeling very ill. Something about today seemed very peculiar but she couldn't quite place her finger on what was bothering her.

It felt as though something dreadful would occur.

Could it have been the quietness that almost never lurked through the house?

Anders knew that she was forgetting something important, something massive. Instead of dwelling upon it now, she decided that she should prepare for the academy today instead.

In her small town, there was one building for academics that children of all ages learned. Fifteen children resided in each year up until the age of sixteen, or adulthood.

It would be then that you would decide your life.

Anders was turning sixteen this year. It would be in the third month that she would take the examination.

She noticed her parents were absent from the table. That wasn't odd for Anders, her parents were almost never home. They worked as public officials, which was an idication of their importance.

Anders took the bus to the academy. Everyone rode the bus for it was the only means of fast transportation.

When she got to school, she searched through the crowded area to find one person.

Amidst a group of teenagers was Oliver. He was undoubtedly the most popular boy in school. Oliver was obviously in the middle of a story, the group was laughing very hard. This couldn't possibly wait though. Anders cleared her throat.

The group collectively turned and Oliver gave her a coquettish smile. All of the members in the group glared at her, but Anders didn't care.

"Nurse Bingham wants to see you, Oliver." Anders lied smoothly.

"Lead the way." Oliver said. Anders led him down and empty hallway and turned to him.

"Just couldn't wait, could you?" Oliver simpered.

"Oliver, I-" Anders was cut of by Oliver's lips hungrily attacking hers. At first she started to kiss back, but then Anders realized that she needed to talk to him.

She pulled away. Her vision blurred slightly.

"What's wrong, babe?" Oliver asked. "Don't you like this?"

"But Oliver doesn't something seem off today?"

"The only thing wrong is that you won't kiss me." He kissed her again, this time his sweet lips tasted sour. Anders pulled back again and her vision obscured even more so.

"Anders, what's wrong?" Oliver's voice became distorted. Anders shook her head.

A sharp ringing pierced her ears. She tried to cover her ears but it was no use. The ringing was continuing and Anders understood that the loud noise was coming from inside her head.

She ran to the nearby fountain and turned it on.

"Babe?" Oliver called.

Anders splashed the lukewarm water on her face. It wasn't working. She looked around and saw that Oliver had a bottle clipped to his book bag.

She instantly dived for the bag and snatched the water bottle from him.

"Anders, what is going on?" Oliver's still misshapen voice cried out. Anders splashed the cold water on her face.

"Wake up!" She screamed to herself.

Suddenly, the ringing stopped. Anders' vision cleared. She then sprayed water onto Oliver's face. Anders watched as recognition appeared on his face. He shook his head and water flew everywhere, but it was okay because he was awake.

"I'm so sorry, Anders. For forcing myself on you like that, anyways," Oliver gave her a sheepish green.

Laughing, she embraced his warm body and he received her kindly.

"Even when you've lost control, you still kiss surprisingly better than normally." Anders said.

"Ouch, that one hurt." Oliver laughed.

Suddenly, Anders remembered what she had forgotten.

How could she forget?

"Oliver..." She whispered, utterly terrified.

"Yeah?" Oliver was confused.

"Don't you remember?" Anders could barely form the words.

"No?"

"They're coming."

"You're being too cryptic, Anders."

"What they reminded us of yesterday?"

Oliver thought long and hard. Anders spoke. the answer in a low voice. Now, Oliver understood now. He also remembered.

The Beluas are coming.
