Third Person POV
Doctor Midorima Shintaro was talking to one of the nurses when the ambulance arrived and rushed in a patient. The doctor currently working was being occupied somewhere else so Midorima rushed with the nurses to see what needed to be done. He frowned when he saw who it was, Kuroko Tetsuya. After a short briefing of what was wrong, he was rushed into surgery. A few minutes after the ambulance arrived, Aomine Daiki and Akashi Seijuro arrive at the hospital. They rush to the waiting room, explained who they were there to see, and sat down waiting for good news.
Midorima enters the waiting room 2.5 hours later. Aomine stands up and calls him over, "How is he? Will he make it?"
Pushing his glasses up, Midorima sighs, "He's going to make it. The ambulance got here just in time, he nearly bled out on the table. Now, will someone please tell me what the hell is going on?"
Akashi stood up and began filling Midorima in. It was clear that Midorima wasn't pleased to hear how Akashi treated him. Emotions were something Midorima never expressed and only those who've known him for a long time could what he was feeling by the look in his eyes. And Akashi could care less about his friend's rage. Midorima was about to say something when a nurse rushed up to the group and whispered something to Midorima. His eyes darkened and he excused himself before following the nurse.
Kuroko POV
I open my eyes slowly and look around slightly. My eyesight is blurry, and my body feels numb. Where am I? What happened? I slowly lift my arms to see bandages around them and the events of what happened come rushing back. I grip my chest tightly as I start gasping for air. There's a noise somewhere in the background but I can't tell what it is. My cheeks feel wet as hands start grabbing me, trying to make me lay down. I don't know what's happening, so I try to shove them away until I feel a slight prick in my arm. A familiar face with glasses and green hair comes into focus as everything goes black and the last thing I hear is, "It's going to be alright Kuroko."
Midorima POV
Once Kuroko fell asleep again, I checked the time. It was 10:48 pm my shift ended 13 minutes ago. I was tired and hungry, but the day was finally over. I went back to the waiting room after clocking out, to find Aomine still waiting. "You should go home, he's stable. My shift starts again tomorrow morning at 9:30, come back again if you're worried."
Aomine and stood up and we walked out together, "Aomine, how long has Akashi been cheating on Kuroko? Today was supposed to be their 10-year anniversary." Aomine hung his head and didn't say anything for a while. He finally looked at me, "I found out about 3 years ago. I walked past a restaurant and saw Akashi kissing Furihata and I stormed in. He told me that Tetsu was the one to cheat first. Something about kissing another guy back in high school."
"That's insanity. Akashi completely monopolized Kuroko since they started living together. Even if they didn't start dating officially until we were all Second Years, everyone knew to stay away."
"I know all of that! Look I don't know how long it's been happening aside from what Akashi told me. Apparently, he saw Tetsu kissing another guy, I was so angry at the time I couldn't hear him properly. Sometime between high school and university."
I could only let out a loud, heavy sigh as I pinch the bridge of my nose. Of course, Akashi would cheat on Kuroko. "But why has it taken this long? His absolute personality would never have let that happen and not have some kind of confrontation."
"I dunno, he said something about wanting Tet to hurt even worse than he was. I guess this is what he meant. Instead of the confrontation, he set up a prolonged plan. At least, it's what I'm assuming he meant."
"Still, I can't believe he actually thinks Kuroko cheated. Everyone saw how much he loved Akashi and always stuck by his side. The loyalty he had for Akashi can't be found so easily. I know how much of a tsundere I can be but, he didn't deserve this."
Aomine just shrugged slightly and sighed as he got into his car, "He's the last person who deserves this. Text me when he wakes up tomorrow will ya?"
"I will. I'll ask him if he wants visitors and let you know. Now get out of here." He rolled his eyes and drove off as I got in my car and headed home.
