Allison's POV

I called my school and told them I was very sick and still couldn't go to school. I felt bad for lying, but I just had to stay home today. Shawn hesitantly left, but I don't think he's still buying the whole "sick" card.

It was already 11:30 am and the doctors haven't called yet. I'm really hoping I'm not pregnant, I'm not ready to be a mom. But this small part of me wants to start a family with Shawn.

When I get nervous, I like to organize things. So while I waited for the doctor to call with the results, I cleaned Shawn and I's bedroom. First I went through all of my drawers, throwing away old clothes. Some I kept, mostly the summer clothes though. After collecting a garbage bag stuffed with clothes, I moved on to my part of the closet. Holy shit I had a bunch of clothes. I dragged the bags to the front door, I would bring them to Goodwill later.

While I was going through my hair accessories in the bathroom, the phone rang. Dropping everything in my hands, I ran to Shawn's side of the bed where the phone was on the nightstand. The caller I.D said it was the doctor from the clinic. My heart felt like it was going to explode. I took a deep breath and answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Hi, is this Allison Jones?" The voice of the cheery secretary was not who I was expecting.

"Yes."

"Okay, your results of the pregnancy test came in." She still sounded too friendly.

I waited for the answer. This moment will change my life forever.

"Your pregnancy test results came back positive. Congrats! You're gonna be a mommy!"

My breath caught in my throat and I felt the phone slip out of my fingers. It hit the carpet but didn't break.

I'm not sure, but I think I'm having a panic attack. My trembling fingers found the phone and hung up on the secretary.

Oh my God this is really happening. I wish I had my mom to help me through this. Or a least a girl best friend. The closest I have is Ian. I dialed Ian's cell phone and hoped he would answer.

"Ali! What do you want? I'm in the middle of class!" Ian snapped as soon as he answered my call.

But then he heard me crying.

"Oh Ali, I'm sorry. Are you okay? What happened? It's okay, you can tell me." Ian's tone of voice changed. He sounded more sincere and caring.

"Ian, I got the test results." I paused to take a deep breath.

"Ian, I'm pregnant."

"Allison, listen, it's okay. I'll be there in a minute. Don't hang up, just let me talk to the teacher so I can get out of class."

I heard a door open and the sounds of a classroom. The voices were muffled, but I could make out something about Ian having a family emergency. The teacher was hesitant at first. But when Ian explained how urgent it really was, the teacher let him leave.

"Ali? Are you still there?" Ian asked, I heard the classroom door shut.

"Yeah."

"I'm walking to the parking lot right now."

Suddenly another voice could be heard through the phone. Ian was talking to someone. As the voice got closer to the phone, I recognized it immediately. It was Shawn. I put a hand over my mouth just in case he could hear my sobs.

"Hey Ian, where are you going?"

"Ummm I have to go home. Family emergency." Ian sounded nervous.
