CHAPTER 5

I could see Caleb walking this way.

"Why did you do it?!" I pushed him on his chest.

He looked down in guilt, and I knew I was putting on pressure but really? Why couldn't someone else do it.

"Look, I may have made my words promising and I'm sorry. This place, this world is not in my control. I take orders I follow them and that's it."

He looked up at me.

"I'm sorry. It's just-" he cut me off before I could continue.

"I know, your worried for everyone but just try and relax and actually enjoy that out of all those people my dad let you off the hook." He sighed but looked to the side as Vanesa was being taken to one of the rooms around us.

I couldn't believe how they could do this to her. One of the men carrying her small and now soulless body. Her shiny black hair swaying a bit, side to side as they walked past us. She was unconscious since CALEB had just inserted the liquid.

Wait... Caleb said his 'dad' let me off the hook... Does that mean his dad was the one controlling everyone here?

Caleb,Caleb's sister and their dad with their brainwashing ways. This is just so wrong. Innocent people left soulless.

"Caleb?"

"Yeah?" He replied looking up to me with his hands in his front pockets.

"Is your dad the one controlling everyone and giving you the orders?" It's neither that or his dad was just one of those assistants or at least one of the higher people.

"Well..." He scratched the back of his neck looking around towards the ground.

"Caleb, you told me you would tell me everything." I demanded, pouting and crossing my arms.

"Okay, yes he is" he looked down nervously.

My eyes widened and my mouth opened a bit. I blinked a couple of times but still held my gaze up.

"Let's go get some lunch, I'm hungry" he tried to change the subject and started walking towards the cafeteria.

I catched up to him.

"Oh.." I let out. I tried to remember Vanesa's room number so I could go back to her maybe even unbrainwash her.

"I'm just going to.. Go back to our room. You know rest a little." I sighed and just couldn't take it.

" I understand, I'm sorry for all this coming at you and things. It must be hard for you to be surrounded by all these ... Controlled.. People" he looked at me and gave me a small innocent looking smile.

I returned the favor and smiled back politely. I walked away looking down and twiddling with my fingers before putting them on my sides.

It was neither Caleb gripping my arm or some stranger but right now I was shocked but calmed down.

I turned around to see black not so curly hair,amazing eyes, I just couldn't describe the colour, an earring stud on the right ear and a nice smile. I then realized who it was.

Isiah.

I hate him ever since he hurt me, but what the hell was he smiling at.

"What are you doing?" I asked him waiting for a good answer.

" I needed to see you. Jamie isn't controlled anymore and I thought you might want to know. Oh and hi" he grinned at the last part.

Man why was someone always just that bit taller then me. Anyways Jamie's back in action huh? Yay! Haha.

"Hi and thanks for telling me. Which room she in?" Giving him a small smile.

"My room apparently. Which sucks donkey nuggets." He had a lame look on his face. Haha well I guess he deserves it.

"First of all donkey nuggets? And second of all where is you room?" I looked into his hazel slash some other colored eyes.

"Donkey nuggets was just a figure of speech" he chuckled "and my room is next to yours and plus I heard you were going back to your room anyways." He smirked. Damn he really had an affect on me which really pissed me off.

"How do you know? Stalker!" I chuckled but stopped and smiled when isiah rolled his eyes.

"No because Caleb told me when I went past him. And don't get with Caleb, he likes Vanessa" he grinned at me as if I was some dumb person that didn't know anything.

"No shit duh brain" like seriously it's so obvious. Well I looked down anyways.
