A friend becomes an enemy, an enemy becomes a friend, friend turns into lover?

Chapter 2 |Chosen|

As the days pass on, Erza and Lucy start to get to know each other. Their bond is as strong as ever, day after day, they start to learn each other's secrets and so on. Of course, there were some upside downs but in the end, it all turned out great.

There was just one problem though. It wasn't Lucy. It was Erza. Erza Scarlet, The one who seemed so mature and strong had started to fall for the blonde. How did this happen? No one knows. But it was really obvious that Erza liked Lucy a lot. Everyone in the guild caught the redhead staring at her when she was talking to levy or Juvia. But when she was talking to Natsu, she would just glare at the pink-haired boy. Mira would giggle whenever she heard the two best friends talk and make silly remarks on how they would look together as a girl couple. Then one day...It was all a disaster.

(A/N: I'm about to make Erza's day worse)

As Erza and Lucy were talking, Natsu slowly walked towards them and asked to talk to Lucy privately. Erza was suspicious of the way Natsu acted but she let Lucy go, which she mostly regrets till now.

As the two come back from outside, they're both hugging each other and kissing each other's cheek. Everyone is confused until Natsu shouts, "Lucy's my new girlfriend, so no one gets to steal her!" Everyone was shocked, they turned to Erza who just grabbed a solo mission and walked away from the guild. 

"I'm so stupid." Erza muttered to herself as she was alone in her dorm, "Of course, she wouldn't like me. She is straight. Get it together, Erza." Erza heard a knock on the door and she sighed while composing herself and opening the door, only to see the blonde looking at her sadly.

"What do you want?" Erza stated nonchalantly, "Uhm. I came here to ask if you wanted to do a mission with me-" Erza sighed, "I'm going on one right now. So no sorry." Erza was about to close the door but was stopped when she felt a hand grip her wrist.

"C-Could I do that mission with you...?" Lucy asked after a few seconds of silence...

"Can't you do one with Natsu?" Erza asked, annoyed.

"I-I...just wanted to go on a mission with you. I-" 

Erza groaned to herself, 'Keep it together Erza. You don't need Lucy- Wait a second.'

"One minute," Erza said while grabbing the paper, "Are you okay?" Lucy asked worriedly, "No I'm fine. And I guess you'll have to come with me because this says a celestial mage required." Lucy's eyes shone with excitement, "I can't wait! Let's go now!" Lucy ran off which surprised Erza a lot.

Erza thought to herself again, 'I hope this mission comes out fine. I'll have to ignore her for a while when we come back. Although, I wish I'd just lose my memories and all will be fine.'

"You wish to lose your memories, huh?" A familiar voice said, 

Erza turned around and saw a black figure of her, "My name's Shadow Erza. Nice to meet you, Erza. I can make that wish of yours come true, you know?" She continued, "I'm your shadow self, I make wishes come true. There is also another self inside of you called Light Erza. We are different, as she gives power and strength. I give Wishes and proceed to make them come true as I told you before." 

Erza looked at her shadow self weirdly, "What do you want?" erza asked confusingly, "I want to make your wish come true. So you wish to lose your memories?" Erza thought for a second, "Yes, I do." 

"The mission you are about to do is simple, You'll get kidnapped, wounded by the people who took you and that's all. When you come back, your memories will no longer be there. How's that?" Shadow erza said to the real erza as she exhaled calmly, "Very well. I would like that." Erza said, not knowing what she had gotten herself into.

"Deal?" Shadow erza stuck out her hand, "Deal." Erza took out her hand and shook the black figure's hand.

"Erza! Hurry!" Lucy shouted and then Shadow Erza left, Erza turned around and raced towards the train, she and Lucy made it luckily and from there...Erza started to get annoyed.

Lucy kept talking about how romantic Natsu was being and how they got together. Erza pretended to be happy for them but deep inside, she couldn't wait to lose her memories and get kidnapped. She wanted it badly. It would be a lie if she told Lucy she was alright, however, that seemed to be the case.

||Timeskip 2 weeks later||

Erza rushed inside of the guild-hall, as the doors smashed wide open, everyone turned to see their redhead friend wounded and in pain. "What happened erza!?" Mira asked as she ran towards erza and helped her up as she was staggering a little, "I-Its Lucy! She's been kidnapped!" erza shouted with tears streaming down her eyes and face, Their eyes widened from shock and instantly erza blacked out from exhaustion. "Team Natsu, go and try to locate Lucy! Erza will stay here and rest! Understood!?" Makarov asked with a strict tone, causing everyone in the guild to be more shocked. "Yes!" Team Natsu, except erza, replied. "Good. Now Go!" He stated finally and they dashed off, Mira rushed into the infirmary and treated erza's wounds. "Wonder what happened to Lucy?...I'm scared for her," Mira muttered and left erza to sleep.

As the night soon came, Erza was returned home as her healing was now better. Erza was in distraught. How could this happen?! She was told SHE would be the one to get kidnapped and lose her memories. Erza couldn't believe it. All of a sudden, the black figure returned.

"Hm? Seems like there was a mistake and the Blonde got caught instead. If it makes you feel better, she hasn't lost her memories and don't worry, I'm looking over her to see if she's alive or not. Now back to why I had come here. When I told you were going to be the one who was going to get kidnapped and lose your memories...You didn't." Shadow Erza continued, "That means you were chosen by the last God. I can't clarify anymore further but all I know is that you, Erza Scarlet, is chosen to be the next in line. Your bravery and strength are what they need to become one again. So the god that chose you...Well let's just say, you're special. Very, Very special. I will come back to inform you what God has chosen you and then I'll take you to see him-" 

"No. I don't want that. I want to see Lucy come back here, then I will meet The God that has supposedly 'chosen' me." 

Shadow Erza smirked, "Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that in their world. We'll prove that to you. For the next 4 weeks, Team Natsu will be left empty-handed. The whole Guild will start to fall in depression over the loss of the blonde. So you have a choice. Over the next 4 weeks, You will be forced to see them leave and come back with nothing. You will lie to the Guild master and ask to go on an S+ class solo mission. During that S+ Class solo mission, Lucy heartfilia, your crush, will come back to the guild with Natsu and live happily ever after."

Erza's eyes widened in shock,

"W-What...?" 

"Of course, that leads to you. The S+ Class solo mission will take a long time, I'd say about a year and 3 months. When you come back, you won't be the same as you were before. Everyone will think you died so when you come back, go straight to the master and explain what the God, that chose you, said. Your master will believe you and then you'll be left with your crush. Now, this is where things get a little interesting. Lucy breaks up with Natsu because she finally realises that she is in love you instead of Natsu. But...What happens if...you don't like her back anymore? Will you be able to love her the way she did with you? Or will it become something else...I truly can't wait. This was all planned out for you, Erza. So will you do this? Do you have what it takes to become the new God? Oops. I meant Goddess." Shadow Erza smiled devilishly,

"...Could you give me time to think..?" Erza said while looking at the ground, motionless.

"You have until 2 days. Think wisely." Shadow Erza disappeared and left the confused but scared Erza there.

"What should I do...I'm terrified. I don't know what to do...Am I capable?! Am I even worth it!?!" Erza shouted to herself as she knew everyone else was asleep and having soundproof walls reassured her that no one would hear her, "Am I even...worth the wait...? Someone...Anyone. Please help me."

Erza drifted off to sleep whilst crying.

(A/N: I feel bad for Erza but hey! At least she ends up with lucy in the end :D, don't be surprised, it makes sense later on...So, I can't wait to see Erza as a Goddess or a God and what's her powers ooh~)
