Armani's Point Of View

A few days have passed, everything seems all too silent. Even the trees are silent, the gentle touch of the sincerely sweet breeze has stopped in its tracks. Even my mother and father are still asleep. It has been like this for at least six days. What is happening to everyone?

Normally there are hunters everywhere and the bullets are loud enough to awaken all the birds and scare them so badly that they fly to the opposite side of the woods or to the village. But nothing has happened. I decided to once again defy my mother's and father's wishes, and I returned to town. Everything is still. As if I am frozen in time.

Out of nowhere a boy appears. He gestures for me to go over to him. I slowly and cautiously walked over to him. He was about to say something, but then he looked horrified. His teeth were seeming to silently chatter. He falls over onto his knees, he loses the color in his eyes. I slowly, and fearfully turn around, drawing my sword from its sheath.

It was a demon... Why did it have to be a demon? And a level 85 at that! Don't get me wrong, I have defeated plenty of them before. They are just a nuisance because if you show any signs of fear, you die. The fear allows them to devour your soul. I suppose that is what happened to that poor sweet innocent boy.

Demons are wretched beings who will kill you if they want. They don't take orders except for from their nefarious king. Zagan. The last words I have heard from my father were "Baeir aen gia..." join or die. That is what he said. He wanted me to become a full demon.

He only wanted me to become a full demon because if I was, my uncle couldn't become king. My uncle wanted things to be less chaotic. My father didn't want that. He wanted chaos, death, mercilessness. Horrible things. That is what the demon realm is. Chaotic.

I walk into the woods where there is said to be a sorceress. I do not believe it though. There is no way that is true. They were killed years ago. Eventually I come by two young girls and a boy. What are they doing here?

¨Hey! Who are you? What are you doing here?! Don't you know it's dangerous?¨ The older girl says surprised as if nobody comes into these woods.

¨ Woah. Calm down princess,¨ I say as the younger boy hides behind her while she places the other girl on the forest floor behind her as she whispers something I can not hear to the girl and boy that seem to be her siblings. ¨ I am not here to harm anyone. I could ask you the same thing too you know. What are kids like you doing here anyways?¨ I say and it clearly angers her.

¨For your information, we look around the same age and do not pull the, ¨Because you're a girl you can not do what men can do and you need a prince charming to save your sorry little ass every time you are in danger¨ crap. Alright? Now if you excuse me, we will be on our way.¨

I was beyond impressed and confused. I never thought girls acted like that. Most that I met were spoiled and selfish or idiotic, clueless, and overly submissive to the point where they agreed with everything. She amused me a lot but I wasn't about to let her know that.
