    "bye dad." we both say, slightly disappointed.
"bye kids. i'm gonna miss you both so so so much," dad replies, "jaden make sure you take care of jules for me. please."
"of course dad!" jaden says in a duh tone and then looks at me with a smile.
           incase you were wondering, i'm jules hossler. short for juliana. my older brother is jaden hossler, and today our dad is leaving us so he and our stepmom can live together. that means me and jaden have a whole house to ourselves from this point on. our mother, passed when i was 3 and jaden was 4. by the way, i'm 16 almost 17 and jaden is 17 almost 18 :) jaden is pretty famous on tik tok and i am a little behind him. he has 5.2 million followers, and i have 3.4 mil.
       all of a sudden, the woman over the speaker said "flight 218 from Los Angeles, to Rome, Italy boarding now. I repeat, flight 218 from Los Angeles, to Rome, Italy is boarding now."
"alright kiddos that's me. i love you so much."
"bye dad." we say in sync, "love you too."
we watch as he walks to his gate with carie, our stepmom. she hates me and jaden. i'm gonna miss dad, but not her.
a tear slowly falls down my pink, warm, cheeks as he gets on the plane.
jaden looks over at me with a worried look on his face and says, "don't cry j. i love you." he pulls down his hoodie sleeve and over his hand and wipes my tears away since i'm now bawling my eyes out.
"i- i'm sorry jaden don't be mad at me please"
"why would i be mad at you jules? it's okay to cry, i just don't like seeing you cry when you do because it makes me upset."
i smiled knowing that he really cares about me. i'm so thankful to have jaden.
"there's my happy sister. alright let's get out of here since it's 3 am."
"okay"
we walked out of the airport and got into jadens car. he put the keys in and started driving home. i thought to myself how it's going to be so different without dad. and carie. she would always scream at me whenever dad wasn't home, and jaden would "protect" me. jaden would come in my bed with me when i cried and we would eat ice cream, watch movies, and laugh together.
   
     before i knew it we were back at the house. by now it was almost 4 in the morning. jaden got out of the car and ran over to my side to open the door before i could. whoever dates him will be really lucky wow.
"thank you jaden"
"anytime jules" he replied
i stepped out of the car.
"oh yeah when is playlist?"
"2 weeks. i cant wait for you to meet my friends!" he squealed like a little girl.
"me too" i said laughing.
"especially payton, whenever i facetime him he always asks me where you are."
"and what do you tell him?" i said with confusion but i also laughed too.
"that you are doing your homeschooling. because you literally were. whenever we're on facetime you're always working on school." he said, sounding 100% confident with his statement.
"well next time tell me when he's on the phone" i said blushing
"ooooooo jules has a crushhhhhhh!!!"
"oh shut up" i said and playfully hit his chest.
"i wanna go inside jaden it's freezing out here." i said
"okay let's go"
