Y/n's POV

I woke up dreading leaving my house to go to that shit hole called school. Last week someone outed me for being a lesbian and ever since then I have been getting bullied. From getting pushed, called names, locker vandalized, and sometimes actually getting hit, I'm over it. Sadly, no matter how annoyed I get with them I have such a hard time standing up for myself. The best I can do it ignore them and strut my lesbian pride. I'm not gonna be ashamed of my sexuality because of them. I got into the shower, and when I got out I put on this outfit.

After taking a picture in the mirror I walked downstairs to get some breakfast. I live in an apartment alone after my parents kicked me out after I came out to them. I had a feeling it would happen so I got a job a year before hand and saved up for an apartment. I hopped into my car and drove to my hell while trying to keep my spirits up. My plan was to just walk into class. I have everything I need for all of my classes in my bag so my locker is not needed. I parked my car and headed into school.

My first class was Algebra with my favorite teacher. He knows what's happening and tries to help out as much as he can. I walk into school and everyone's eyes are on me. I get a bunch of dirty looks as I walk past them. I walk past my locker and I can already see that someone has written 'fag' on it. I shake my head and walk into class. As I walk in I see the school counselor with a new student talking to my teacher. I walk to my seat in the back corner and set my stuff down as I walk closer to the front ready to introduce myself. As the counselor and my teacher are talking, the new student looks as me.

We lock eyes and I can't help but stare into hers. It's pretty clear that she is also a lesbian which is why I'm so eager to talk to her. She looks me up and down then smirks at me. I bet she already figured out I'm a lesbian too.

"Hey Y/n, I want you to meet Maihua." My algebra teacher said as he motioned to the girl in front of him. "You guys have a lot in common." He gave me a wink as he said that. I laughed and looked at Maihua.

"It's nice to meet you, I hope we can become really good friends." I said as I held my hand out for her to shake it. She took my hand and shook it.

"I hope so too. You seem pretty cool so we will definitely get along." I said with a smile. I motioned for her to come to the back to me. I sat down on the window sill by my seat and she sat down beside me.

"So I need to warn you about the students at this school. Basically all of them are homophobic. Someone outed me last week for being a lesbian and ever since then everyone has been bullying me." I said. I was making eye contact with her the whole time. She looked back at me with sympathy.

"So I'm guessing your locker was the one with 'fag' written on it?" She asked. I nodded my head at her question. "I'm sorry they did that to you. Why don't you just stick up for yourself and do something about it. Schools suck and rarely ever do anything so why not tell your parents." I looked down at my hands for a second then looked back up at her.
