Y/N looked around thoughtfully. She had just moved to DuckBurg because her Aunt, Cherie, got a better-paying job there. She picked up the last cardboard box from the moving truck and brought it into her room. She put her hands on her hips and sighed. This is your new home, Y/N. She looked around her new room and corrected herself, almost a home. It may not feel like one yet, but soon. At least you get a fresh start.
"Y/N!!!" Called her Aunt, arousing Y/N from her thoughts. "Coming!" She hollered back. She ran downstairs. She ran into what was the kitchen and saw her Aunt stand there with a photo in her hands.
"Guess what I found in one of the boxes," Said her Aunt, handing Y/N a photo. Tears welled in Y/N's eyes. The picture was of her parents. She missed them terribly. She had her mother's white feathers and h/c hair, and her father's mysterious e/c eyes.
But before tears could well in her eyes, Aunt Cherie pushed Y/N out the door. "Go explore! I can put this away and unpack further." And Cherie slammed the door shut.
Y/N Walked down the street, looking around. Just another city. Not much to see. She walked for a bit and then she saw a Duck Donalds*.(*DuckDonalds is basically McDonalds.) She checked her pockets and realized she had $20 with her, and walked inside. Memories flooded her of her old friends going there at LEAST twice a week, where they would gossip and laugh.
"1 Duck Flurry, plain." (1 plain mc flurry, its ice cream.). "Yes, ma'am," Said the person who worked there. They handed her the Duck Flurry and she paid them $1 and went back out. She found a bench and sat down and looked through her phone.
"Hey," Said a voice. A male voice, to be specific. That got Y/N to look up. "Oh! Hey, sorry." She scooted over so he could sit.
"I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new?" Said who she now recognized as a 13 year old boy in a green hoodie and his hair brushed to the side. "Yeah, I just moved here," Said Y/N, and slightly blushed, but it wasn't noticeable.
"Im Louie, by the way," Said the boy. Y/N now noticed he had good features, and was kind of cute. "Im Y/N! Nice to meet you!" She said cheerfully."So... what school are you gonna go to?" Louie asked her curiously. "Duck-high." She answered. She had remembered signing up. It was a hassle, because Aunt Cherie had no idea how this parent thing worked. Im trying, she had said.
"Anyways, see you around?" Asked Y/N, as she felt a blush rising. "Sure." Said Louie, who looked partially disappointed. Then, Y/N realized there would be no way for the boy to contact her.
"Here, let me give you my number," She said, and she felt like a tiny strawberry in the snow, blushing very badly now. Louie didn't notice though, because he was also blushing madly while Y/N wrote her number on a small piece of paper and handed it to him.
"Bye!" She said. She waved at him and walked off, and felt like she was floating. Louie just stood there in awe, holding her number in his hand. Quickly, he entered the number in his phone and smiled. He went home to the Mc. Duck Manor and felt like a million bucks. He shook his head happily. I just met her and feel like i' m in heaven.
*Timeskip to when Y/N comes home*
Y/N came through the door and found that the couch and TV were already set up in the living room. "Auntie?" She said. "Yes honey? Dinners ready!"
She walked towards the kitchen, practically skipping. "You had a good day," Said Aunt Cherie. "Yes, I actually did. I met someone." She said, and started blushing slightly. "Boy or girl~" Said her aunt. "Auntie!!!!" Yelled Y/N. "Ok, ok." Said Aunt Cherie and dropped the subject, and they quietly sat down and ate dinner.
After dinner, Y/N said "Im going to bed now." And went to her room. She opened one cardboard box and pulled out her f/c pajamas. She quickly changed into them and put her phone on her nightstand. She wrapped herself in her blankets like a mummy in her bed. She couldn't stop thinking of Louie. She didn't have a crush at her old school, so she didn't exactly know what to expect.
*Ping!*
Y/N reached for her phone and saw a message on her notifications. Who would text at 11??
~Unknown Number- Hey. Its Louie
~Y/N - Oh. Hey. Its me, Y/N. Why are you up so late?
She sighed. Is this why nobody at school ever has sleep?
~Louie - IDK. Anyways, want to hang out tomorrow? School starts next week, so I mean, you don't have to worry abt school.
Y/N hesitated for a minute. Then she realized, what could go wrong?
~Y/N - Sure! Anyways, I need sleep. Goodnight! 😁
~Louie - Goodnight, Y/N. Cya tomorrow 😜
She flopped back into bed after she put her phone on her nightstand. She sighed. Tomorrows gonna be just as good of a day. She already made a friend. And with that, she fell asleep, excited & anxious for what the next day will hold.
How was that, guys?? 900+ words!! Anyways, hope u guys enjoyed! New chapter soon, maybe tomorrow or the day after!
