Austin looked shocked to say the least. I stood there like a deer in the headlights, running my fingers through my brown hair.
"Um.. Surprise.." I awkwardly laughed, hoping that I could just play this off.
Austin handed me back my phone, looking around. "I won't tell anyone.."
That signature smirk was curling up the corners of his lips.. And fuck I swear, the butterflies in my stomach almost all exploded. Why did he have that affect on me? I hated it. Nobody else did.
"S- so what's gonna happen?" I speak finally, my shoulders tensed as I looked away, down at my phone.
Then it happened. Austin slowly snaked his hand around mine, intertwining our fingers and giving my hand a small squeeze. He shrugged his shoulders, "let's just wait and see."
Fireworks. That's all I could think about. I closed my eyes tightly, my cheeks tinting a deep red. I tried to contain my blush.. But it didn't work. At all. I looked down at our hands, feeling like I needed to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't in some dream..
And that's when my alarm clock went off.
