Inuyasha and The New Visitor

Chapter 1: Lucy

Kagome Higurashi wasn't sure what to say or do in the next two days when she returns to the Feudal Era, her cousin had moved in a few days ago and Kagome couldn't just lie to her, Lucy was one of her closest friends and her favorite cousin. She had lived all the way over in America so they didn't get to spend as much time together but with phone calls and letters they were able to still grow together.

While Kagome was sixteen, Lucy was eighteen and already in college and had moved to Japan for school. Her mother had given Lucy the spare bedroom giving her the space and motivation from the family that she was more than welcome to live with them. Of course Kagome was happy that she was going to live with them but the only problem was her constant traveling back and forth between her time and Inuyasha's.

She didn't know what Lucy would think. Said girl was giggling over something their grandfather was talking about holding Sota to her chest. She stood out completely compared to the girls around here. Her bright red hair and stunningly bright blue eyes she was definitely a catch towards the males. Besides her hair and eyes Kagome couldn't help but be jealous over Lucy's body. She has a larger bust and well toned legs and she was taller than her. She was beautiful.

Kagome wished she could at least be a fraction as beautiful as her cousin. Maybe Inuyasha would see her differently if she had a build like her. "Kagome? You okay?" Kagome smiled to herself, even if Lucy had a pretty understanding in Japanese she still sounded american as she spoke. At least it was something Kagome knew she was better at compared to her cousin.

"I'm okay Lucy, just have a lot on my mind." Shrugging her shoulders she smiled "I was wondering if you wanted to go to the store with me. I wanted to pick out a few books, all mine are still packed up."

Nodding her head Kagome stood from the ground "Sure that sounds like fun. We can go get some ice cream while we're at it." Her eyes widen and an excited grin grew on her face "Yeah!"

"Aw man, Kagome can I come too?"

"Sota let the girls go out and spend some quality time together; they'll be back soon." Sota pouted but nodded at his mothers words. "She's right we'll be back soon." Lucy spoke softly kissing her youngest cousin's forehead.

Kagome and Lucy left the house and made their way into town the girls already getting into explaining the last few months back "So Kagome, is there any boy you like?" Kagome's face flushed as she started to think about Inuyasha and his pretty golden eyes.

"You do! Whats he like? Is he nice? Is he cute? Have you two done it yet?" Kagome's face went beat red at the questions "Done it? What do you mean done it?! I'm not that kind of girl!" Lucy giggled at her reaction "Inuyasha and I haven't even had our first kiss yet let alone do that!"

Lucy started to sport a smirk now grinning deviously "Oh his name is Inuyasha hmm?" Kagome let out a small groan "Does Auntie know?" she nodded her head "Well if Auntie approves then I guess I have to as well right? But you didn't tell me if he's cute or not. What's he look like?"

"Well he's strong, he's pretty cocky. I don't know Inuyasha can be a total jerk but he's really sweet when he wants to be and he's really protective." She smiled to herself thinking about all the battles she's dealt with so far. Lucy frowned, glancing toward the side. She didn't have a say in what her little cousin did or not. She was basically a grown up who made her own decisions.

But from the way she was describing Inuyasha she didn't really trust him. She'd need to meet him before making a proper judgement. "I can't wait to meet the guy." Kagome laughed nervously, not really saying anything in response.

"Oh Mochi! Or Green Tea flavor! Theres so many flavors!" Kagome had to admit Lucy looked adorable like a kid in a candy shop. She was so amazed by Japan that it was fun to just watch her zip from one spot to another.

The two ordered their ice cream and found a spot to sit "So I've only heard about Inuyasha is there any other guys trying to steal your heart?" She grinned leaning forward towards the girl. "Well there is Koga but he's just a friend."

Lucy cringed shaking her head "You friend zoned the poor guy? Damn Kagome thats just ruthless!" Kagome let out another nervous laugh shaking her head "Well Ayame has been in love with Koga far longer and he doesn't really want me. He just acts that way whenever Inuyasha's around."

Nodding her head Lucy finished off her ice cream and the two left to the bookstore. The girls somehow moved off to different areas of the bookstore to find something they both would enjoy. Kagome was actually pretty excited she could get a book to read to Shippo and something for herself and from what Sango and Miroku seemed to like her stories from this time period.

Glancing over Kagome could see that Lucy was already getting surrounded by boys. They stood nervously around her talking about some books or something Kagome couldn't hear. Though from the look on Lucy's face she wasn't sure she was all that comfortable. She kept backing away from the guys and glancing around looking for something her eyes locked onto Kagome and she quickly bid farewell to the men.

"Please don't leave me again." she moaned clutching onto Kagome's hand a pained expression on her face. Kagome giggled at the girls actions and the two went to pay for the books. Lucy was having so much fun spending this time with Kagome though she knew she needed to spend some time with Sota, she had promised him they'd play soccer or some video games.

Back at the house Kagome and Lucy joined the others where Sota stole Lucy straight away. Kagome was left in the kitchen with her mother and grandfather "Did you two enjoy your time?" Her mother asked, smiling at her eldest.

"Yeah, I kind of told her about Inuyasha." Both her mother and Grandfather glance at one another "Oh. Did you tell her about..."

"No, not yet. I'm not sure how to bring it up." Kagome's mother smiled softly reaching forward placing a hand on her daughters "You'll think of a way. But isn't Inuyasha going to be coming for you soon enough?"

Kagome nodded "I'm hoping he will in the next two days, giving me some more time with Lucy but knowing him he'll probably be here sooner than I'd like him to." she said the last part more to herself.

"There you are. It's time to go!" Kagome moaned to herself hunching forward "I spoke too soon."

I've been wanting to write this for a while now and I can't get the idea out of my head. And unfortunately I keep writing Lucy as Lucky and I can't stop. But I'm having fun with this so I'm gonna keep writing no matter what. Hope you like it!
