Backseat Serenade (Jalex)

One: Six Feet Under the Stars

Alex POV 

“Jack? What are you thinking about?” I asked, looking at Jack with a concerned look. He was never this quiet. 

“Oh, sorry. I was thinking about... Um.. the stars,” Jack said. I looked at the sky. We were laying in the bed of my pickup truck. We needed to hang out without Rian and Zack. Jack and I had always been best friends, but the band has made it difficult to hang out like we used to. I honestly missed him. “Hey, ‘Lex?” 

“Yeah, Jacky?” I looked over at him. He sighed. 

“Nevermind. We probably should get back since we have the gig tomorrow,” 

Jack said quietly. I sighed, frustrated. Jack wasn’t acting like himself. I sat up and hopped out of the truck bed. I got into the driver seat, and Jack got into the passenger seat. I drove back to the tour bus. Jack got out and looked at me. 

“I’ll be in in a little while,” I told him. He nodded and walked into the bus. I laid down across the seat and stared at the ceiling, trying to figure out what was wrong with Jack. I thought for about half an hour before I drifted off into a restless sleep.

Jack POV

 There was something wrong with Alex. He never wanted to be alone. I sighed and sat down by Zack on the couch. 

 “’Sup, Jack? Where’s Alex?” Zack asked. I looked at him. 

 “He stayed out in his truck. I have no idea why,” I informed him. I stood up and walked outside. I decided to try to convince Alex to come back in 

 I walked out to Alex’s truck and looked in. Alex was asleep on the seat. He was kind of cute in that position. He looked like a girl. I shook off the thoughts and knocked on the window. “Alex, if you’re going to sleep, you need to come inside where you at least won’t catch a cold.“ I heard no response. I sighed and opened the door. 

 I picked up the sleeping boy bridal style and carried him into the house. As I entered the living room, Zack and Rian looked up, muffling their laughter. “He was asleep in his truck,” I explained to them. They nodded and let me carry Alex to the back of the bus to where our bunks were. There were four bunks. Alex liked the top, and my bunk was directly under his. Rian had the bunk above Zack. I sighed and contemplated how I was going to get Alex up to his bunk. 

 I decided to put him on my bunk and sleep on his. I gently placed him on the bed and started to climb the ladder. I felt Alex grab my leg and pull me into the bed. I yelped in fright and looked at him. “Jacky, sleep with me!” Alex begged, his voice in one of his best whines- one he knows will work on me. 

 “Alright, ‘Lex.” I turned my back to him but soon felt his arms wrap around me.  It made me a little uncomfortable since I had a small crush on him- Okay, a big crush on him. I have had a crush for a few years now. I’ve never told him since I knew it would be weird. I heard Alex begin to snore as my heart began to pound. I slowly fell asleep. 

 Alex POV

 “Hey, Gayskarth and Barafag! It’s time to wake up!” I heard Rian yell. I groaned. Gayskarth? What the hell? I felt the person next to me move and groan. I looked and saw Jack and my arm over his waist. My heart began to pound and I quickly removed. 

 “Jacky, you felt like a girl last night!” I said, giggling. 

 “I’m not the one who pulled me into my bed! I was climbing the ladder, and you pulled me down and told me to sleep with you!” Jack defended himself. I felt my cheeks get heated. Jack got out of the bed, and I scrambled to get up as well. Rian and Zack were laughing at us. 

 I ran to the bathroom, my heart pounding. I leaned against the door. That’s why I wanted to sleep in my truck. I knew my crush was wrong and was getting out of hand. I mean, Jack was straight. He slept with girls all the time. He’s notorious for wearing a shirt that said “boner” for crying out loud. I sighed and splashed water onto my face. 

 “’Lex, are you going to be in there forever? I need to piss! If you are, let me in so I can piss!” I heard Jack yell. My eyes widened. I stripped down and unlocked the door before quickly jumping into the shower. My heart was still pounding. I turned on the water as I heard Jack enter. “’Lex, you know if I flush while you’re showering, you’ll get burned, right?” I didn’t think about that. Suddenly, Jack poked his head into the shower.

 My eyes widened, and I quickly tried to cover myself. “J~Jack~!” I yelled in surprise. 

 “Care if I join, ‘Lexy? I need a shower, and this will save water.” I shrugged and quickly turned away. I heard Jack chuckle. “Damn, Alex. You have a nice ass. Much nicer than any girls.” Wait, Jack is staring at my ass? 

Jack POV

 “Care if I join, ‘Lexy? I need a shower, and this will save water.” Alex shrugged and quickly turned away. I chuckled. “Damn, Alex. You have a nice ass. Much nicer than any girls.” Did I just say that? Shit. I saw Alex blush deeply. I smirked and stripped off my clothes. I stepped into the shower and got under the water. I noticed Alex checking me out. “Like what you see?” 

 Alex’s eyes widened, and he quickly looked away. “I’m not gay!” I smirked and grabbed him and made him look at me. 

 “Alex..” I said before kissing him. He gasped but quickly gave into the request of my tongue. When I couldn’t breathe, I broke the kiss and smiled. “I really like you.” 

 “You~You do? I’ve had the biggest crush on you!” Alex exclaimed, his voice still breathless. I smiled and kissed him again. 

 “Would you do me the honor of being my boyfriend, Alex William Gaskarth?” I asked. He blushed and quickly nodded. I pinned him to the wall and kissed him again. 

 “The water’s getting cold~ We need to wrap up this shower,” Alex said after a few minutes. I backed off and quickly washed up. I got out and grabbed a towel and dried off. I heard Alex finish up his shower. He stepped out, and I handed him a towel. He thanked me. I watched as he dried off. His body was very sexy. His face became red as he saw me watching him. I smirked and walked over to him. 

 “Alex, you’re so cute.” I kissed him and reached down and gently squeezed his ass. I heard him let out a moan. “Ooh, you like that, don’t you, Lexy?” 

 “What are you two doing in there, having sex?” I heard Zack ask. I blushed. 

 “Considering Alex is now my boyfriend, we might as well be!” I screamed. Alex blushed deeply and pushed me off. 

 “Lemme get dressed, Jack,” he mumbled. I backed off and allowed him to dress. We left the bathroom, getting smirks from Zack and Rian. For some reason, Alex seemed angry as he walked to the bunks.
