Wind blew around me. The cold air felt nice against my warm skin. I stared out at the city, my city. My brothers and I had saved it countless times and nobody ever knew. We were hero's hidden in the shadows, afraid of how people would react.

There's a light clacking against the pavement below. I follow the sound and see a person moving slowing down the street. I stare at it for a moment before realizing it was a girl. She was about average height. She had long curly brown hair and short bangs that sat just above her eyes. Her lips were pushed out like she was in deep thought. She had a baggy blue sweatshirt on and a pair of skinny jeans. She wore shoes that resembled sneakers but you could tell they weren't(those sneaker heels lol).

She walked by an alley where two men had been laughing but she didn't seem to notice them. For what ever reason I followed her. I swiftly jumped from building to building never letting my gaze slip off her as she continued down the street.

I hear laughing a little ways down the street. I looked and realized the two men from the previous alley were following her as well. My eyes narrowed as they called out to her. "Hey! Sweet cheeks!" The one yells. You can tell he was drunk from the slurring of his words.

The girl ignored him as she continued walking down the sidewalk. "Oh, come on baby, don't be like that." The other yells, he was also visibly drunk. The girl continues to ignore the men as they yell and whistle at her. Suddenly the one man runs up to her and grabs her. She turned around and looks at the man seemingly shocked at the fact that there was someone behind her, he smiles and pulls her to him.

I growl and move to climb off the building. Before I can the girl pulls her knee up and connects with the drunk mans groin. I wince as the man crumpled to the ground. The girl started to run but the second drunk guy seemed annoyed so he ran after her. I jumped from the building and landed in front the the man. He fell backwards and stared up at me in horror. He screamed before trying to stand and run the other way. He ran past his friend, who had drug himself to lean against a brick wall. I growl and that man's eyes widen before he shouts and tries to run away. I smirk to myself, folding my arms as I watch them run away. That's when I felt a hand on my arm.

I turn to see the girl standing there. Her small hand on my bicep, tracing my tattoo. I jump away from her and stare in horror. Raising an eyebrow at her, I realized she wasn't afraid of me. Her eyes dart up to mine. They were a bright sapphire. A light blush forms on her cheeks as she holds her hand to her chest. She bows her head and continues to stare at me.

"You aren't afraid of me?" I ask and she shakes her head. I scuff slightly and look away. "You shouldn't have to worry about those guys. They-" She touches my chin and I look at her. She points to her lips as I continue. "They, uh..." I trail off as I stare at her lips. They were a darkened pink from being pushed together as she stared at my lips, focusing on what I was saying. "Y-you should get home. I-it's late."

She nods and turns to leave. Before she does though she looks back at me, smiling and bringing her hand to your chin and pointing it back at me, almost as if blowing me a kiss. Raising her hand once more in a wave she trots up the steps of a nearby house. I continue to stare at the door a few moment's after she's gone before reaching up and touching my chin. "Strange girl." I mumble to myself and shake my head before heading towards the lair.
