Chapter 2

We all filed out to the front porch of the house. There were two men I. Drench coats with big black umbrellas.
"Hi kids is your dad home?"
One asked.
"No he is out at the moment"
Brand said.
"Is your mommy home?"
He asked again. Brand looked mad.
"No she out at the supermarket buying pampers for all us kids"
He said angrily back.
"Ok well can you make sure your dad gets these papers so he can look them over and sign them"
He said pulling some blue papers put.
"Ok"
Brand said walking down and grabbing them. The guys started walking away smiling.
"Brand what are those?"
Mikey asked.
"Dad's business"
Brand said.
"Look at them how can they walk away smiling?"
One of the boys said speaking my mind.
"I hope they fall in a sand pit"
Brand said.
"Yeah and never get there balls out!"
Mikey snapped. We all agreed and walked back inside. I noticed Mikey stayed behind I watched him look at the men walk away. I heard the extra door slam and I saw Brand through the windows.
"Mikey?"
He said. I saw Mikey break out of his trance and run into Brands arms.
"C'mon let's get inside before you do get a cold and mom kills me"
He said dragging him back in. I followed the group to the kitchen.
"God I'm depressed"
Chunk stated filling his mouth with whip cream. I didn't really pay attention I was to stuck in my thoughts about moving away from these guys. All I heard was something about Brand going out with Andy then Mouth screaming because he was sitting in the sink and Brand turned the water on. I stood with Brand watching the boys look curiously at the map. We soon made our way back to the living room and Brand was sitting in the chair with his stupid workout thing. We all crowded around the coffee table as Mikey had signaled for us. He made hand gestures saying. Let's go find the treasure but tie Brand up with his workout thing. We stood up and crowded around Brand.
"Hey Brand how far can that thing go?"
Data asked. He stretched it out.
"About this far-"
He was cut off by us trampling him and tying him to the chair. We all ran out grabbing our bikes but of course I didn't have mine. I saw Mouth start to go after Brands tires.
"Don't touch his bike I need something to ride smart one"
I yelled. He stopped and I grabbed Brands bike and followed the boys down the road. I just stayed by Mikey as the boys behind listened to Chunk complaining. Soon Mikey came to a stop dropping his bike. All the boys crowded around him asking him what as he stared off at something. Mikey pulled out a dabloon one he must of grabbed when we weren't looking.
"Guys I think I got a match!"
He said excitedly holding up the dabloon.
"The two rocks and the restaurant fit perfectly that must mean the rich stuff is under the restaurant"
He said. We all hopped on our bikes and rode to the restaurant stopping at a hill to carry our bikes up. We stopped when we saw there were vehicles at the restaurant. Mikey grabbed my hand and I felt butterflies fly throughout my whole entire body.
"Thanks for calming me down earlier"
He whispered in my ear blushing. I flushed a bright pink too and we smiled at each other awkwardly not the bad kind of awkward the good kind. We started walking closer and I couldn't help but realize his hand was still tightly joined with mine. We then saw three people carrying in a big black bag.
"Who are they?"
I asked.
"There probably drug dealers"
Chunk said still worried. Data hit his shoulder.
"They can't be with those polyester cloths there probably just bringing more food into the restaurant"
"I don't know guys that bag seems awful body like"
Chunk said. 'Shut up chunk' we all said in unison. We started walking ignoring all of Chunks reasons of why we should not go in. We peeked through the windows Mikey next to me the whole time making sure his hand didn't move from mine. I felt his body heat pressed against my side. We saw them bring the bag into the kitchen we thought it was just as our prediction. We stood by the door and tried to open it but it was locked. Mouth stood I front of the door and Chunk looked at him as if he was suspicious and of course he was.
"Hey Chunk I got some naked pictures of your mom in a bath tub you want to buy em?"
He asked with a smirk. We all knew he was joking.
"You what?!"
Chunk yelled charging at Mouth but Mouth had moved causing Chunk to fall through the door. We all walked in then we heard the door shut. We say a man or a woman or both I couldn't tell.
"How long were you standing there?"
She asked cold.
"Not that long"
We all mumbled at different times.
"Is-isn't this a summer place?"
I stuttered out. She looked confused then a face of realization appeared. Then a man walked out yelling in Italian they yelled at each other a bit.
"These are our first customers"
She said, he put a fake smile on then walked back I to the kitchen.
"What would you guys like?"
She asked.
"Water water water"
We all said. The Mouth of course opened his mouth and the lady got mad. She grabbed his cheeks squeezing so his tongue would pop out. She flipped her switchblade out.
"The only thing we serve here is tongue, do you guys like tongue?"
She asked. We covered our mouths and shook our head. She let go and pushed us over to a table. We all sat down and she disappeared into the kitchen. She came back out with glasses of defiantly not water. Everyone said 'thank you mam' except for Mikey he said 'thank you sir oh I uh mean mam' he was thinking the same thing I was.
"Is this supposed to be water?"
Mouth asked.
"What it's wet ain't it"
She said. Mikey interrupted.
"Do do you have a bathroom?"
He asked.
"Why?"
"Hey Mikey you gotta use he bathroom?"
Mouth asked pouring the liquid through his and Mikey's cup.
"I don't think you want to use he bathroom here Mikey?"
Chunk said.
"Why not?"
The mean lady asked.
"I don't know there might be daddy long legs Mikey.........dead people Mikey dead people"
He said he last part when the lady wasn't paying attention.
"I just have to go lady do you got a bathroom?"
He asked.
"It's down stairs to the right"
She said he got up and ran to the stairs.
"Stay to the right!"
She screamed. I knew he wouldn't stay to the right. Soon Brand walked in.
"Where's that little twerp?"
He asked trying to be angry. Soon Mikey ran upstairs looking scared. Brand scared him even more by slapping him over the mouth.
"Let's go home now!"
He said.
"Yeah take your brats and get out of here!"
The lady screamed and we all ran out.
"Guys guys there was this thing an it, it's face was all messed up and he was chained to the wall"
Mikey said once we were outside. I blocked all of them out when I saw Andy and Stefan approaching two of the biggest jerks I thought they had the perfect fitting image of the girls that gave me my depression. Yeah I know not something I'm not of but all my brackets hid my scars and if Mikey ever found them I would feel like let him down. I was so lost in my thought Mikey pulled me along and of course I wasn't prepared and I fell on top of him on the ground. He was blushing like crazy and I helped him up. Once he was up we walked over to the boys. I kept thinking did Mikey like me? What are those jerks doing here? I thought of so much more not hearing anyone again until I realized we were in the building making our way down the stairs.
"Do you guys want to see the it?"
Mikey asked. We all followed and he pushed the door open. I grabbed Mikey's hand and immediately jumped on him. He let go if my hand and wrapped his arm around my shoulders squeezing me to him.
"Don't worry he is chained up I won't let him hurt you?"
He said. He dropped his arm but I felt my self shudder as his warm finger tips slowly interlocked with mine. It sent shivers all over my body. The thing screamed sending Mouth flying into me and Mikey and we all fell into another room. Andy landed in Brand and they were about to kiss until the boys spoke up. I didn't watch I just listened looking into Mikey's eyes.
"Shame shame we know your name"
Chunk said.
"Slip her the tongue"
Mouth of course said.
"Eww that's just disgusting I can't watch"
Stefan said. Me and Mikey smiled at each other listening to our friends silliness. Once we broke out of trance Mikey hopped up.
"There has to be something buried down here"
He said. Before I knew it he was hitting the ground with a fire stick. Brand ripped it out of his hands and complained to him.
"Wait do you gush here that?"
He asked. He saw our confusion.
"There water draining there's another level under us"
He said excitedly searching around. He found a hole under the fire pit.
"You guys are crazy there's a funny farm written with your name all over it"
Chunk said walking away. He stopped in his tracks.
"Ice cream?"
He said. He searched the freezer we all saw the stiff but he didn't realize the stiff like we all did. He kept saying the flavones until he turned to see what we were looking at. Chunk screamed that Chunk scream as the body toppled over on top off us we pushed it back in shutting the door. We heard the Fratellis come back. We all filed down the hole until we realized Chunk wasn't here we shut him in the freezer with the stiff. I saw Mikey and Brand climb up. I heard a loud bang then Mikey and Brand climbed down.
"Where's Chunk?"
We asked.
"He is going to get the cops"
They answered starting to walk. We soon couldn't see anything I listened to Andy complain about how dark it was and we had been walking to long. I felt my way to Mikey.
"Hey"
He said once he noticed it was me.
"You good?"
He asked.
"Yes this is so cool we are in actual caves built by one eyed Willy what could be cooler?"
I said. I felt him chuckle wrapping his hand around mine.
"Hey Data do you have any lights on you?"
We questioned. He turned and thought for a minute.
"Bully blinders!"
He said excitedly. He hit some buttons and then went on about a story of why he created them. They soon popped out then blinded us with a way to bright light. We all yelled for him to turn around because we couldn't see. I clutched Mikey's hand even more. Soon the lights went out.
"Sorry guys battery don't last so long"
He said. We soon came across a bunch of pipes after walking through the dark Andy complaining and Stef breaking her glasses we finally came across something.
"Mouth your dad's a plumber what do these pipes do?"
Stef asked. He walked around. Looking at the pipes.
"Guys they are water pipes which must mean they lead to some kind of building so if we bang hard enough"
But he got cut off we all started banging on pipes. I heard a weird sound and I guess everyone else did too.
"Loose pressure!"
Mouth screamed.
"Let's""get out""of here""like now"
I heard from a bunch of people. The water knocked out a couple of rocks revealing a tunnel. We all filed through. Mikey was ahead of me so I decided to stay back. Andy started complaining about again spouting off about dying and how she had a beautiful body.
"Before I looked like him"
I heard her shriek. She screamed running to Stef's companionship. I ran over to the boys. They crouched down looking at the body.
"He's dead for sure"
Data had said.
"It's probably Chester Copperpot"
He finished.
"Who?"
Brand asked.
"That guy in the news article in the attic"
He explained.
"You get his wallet Mikey"
I heard Mouth say. I must of missed something because all I could think is if this guy didn't make it any further then his how could we? Mikey pulled he wallet out.
"It is Chester Copperpot"
He said turning it to us. I heard mutters everyone trying to calm themselves.
"Hey guys look candles"
Mikey said pulling them out of a bag. Once he handed them to Brand he noticed something else.
"Look at this"
He said lifting a necklace that sat around the skeletons neck. The head popped off and we shrieked again. Mikey cleaned it and put it around his neck. He looked at it in awe until he saw something in the sand.
"Hey guys loo-"
He was cut off by a clicking noise. He accidentally set off a booby trap.
"No body move"
We screamed. We saw the first stone fall and we all ran to the end of a cave dodging each stone as it fell. As we jumped through the opening at the end Mikey fell on top of me. No one was looking they were just staring at the rocks as they fell. I grabbed his necklace he found fiddling around with it.
"Abby has anyone told you how beautiful your hazel eyes are?"
He said. That was it if we didn't get any treasure I would have to leave him and I just had to feel his lips once before I couldn't. I tugged in his necklace pulling his face to mine. I felt him kiss back I could feel his braces on my lips. It felt amazing. We let go and pulled away from each other as we noticed everyone turning around. I saw his cheeks bright pink and a smile plastered on his face. I giggled.
"What is wrong with you two?"
Mouth questioned. We looked at each other and smiled leaving them clueless.
"Guys it sounds like some one is down there?"
Brand said. He started pushing a rock. He went to stick his head in and yell hello until bats came flying out sending me jumping into Mikey. I wrapped myself up into his as everyone screamed trying to keep the bats away. Once all the bags flew away Brand crawled through the tunnel helping us all through. Mikey had just grabbed my waist to help me down.
"So uhm abo-"
He got cut off.
"Hey guys look a water fall!"
Data yelled. We ran up and I saw Mikey walk through the water.
"Wow"
Was all I could make out trough the running water. We all jumped through.
"Guys it's like a giant piggy bank!"
Data yelled. Mouth started picking up coins and naming off the people on the coins of course ending up in a fight with Stef. I walked over to Mikey we totally ignored everyone else.
"So what did you want to talk to me about?"
I asked. He smiled then looked at me.
"I uh well uh was wondering why you kissed me?"
He stuttered out not making any eye contact and scratching the back of his neck. I giggled.
"I just had to if this doesn't work I have to move away from you I just couldn't go any further with out telling you my real feelings"
I said. He smiled and grabbed my hand.
"Hey guys it's a well!"
Brand yelled. We looked to see a coin had hit him. He threw the coin back up.
"Who's down there?"
We heard echo through the well. Andy had run over after Data screamed.
"Guys it's Troy it's Troy"
"Troy send down the bucket were trapped!"
She yelled.
"Andy? What the hell are you doing at the bottom of a well?"
He asked.
"We don't have time for that right now just send down the bucket"
We heard mumbling and the bucket started going down. Andy saw getting ready to get in it until Mikey dragged me up to face her.
"Wait a minute guys! Look at how far we have come you can't give up now!"
He said. Andy looked at him.
"Why?"
She asked.
"Look at Chester Copperpot he was an expert and we made it farther up there it's our parents time it's their time to make the right choices but down here down here it's our time"
Mikey said.
"But we have to get the police"
She said.
"Maybe Chunk already got the police"
He fought back.
"Maybe Chunks dead"
"Don't say that never say that Goonies never say die"
He yelled.
"I'm not a Goonie I want to go home"
She said.
"Don't you see that's all over the second you ride up Troys bucket just imagine the next time you see sky it will be over another town the next time you take a test it will be in a different school we will never be able to see each other again"
He said. With that Andy took of the sweater that Troy had given here and sent it up the bucket. As we started running further we all started laughing.
"ANDY YOU GOONIE!"
Troy yelled sending us laughing as we all made our way further into our journey. We were in some kind of room with no where to go Mikey soon found a part of wall with little pegs on it. He took his skeleton necklace and tried to fit the eye and mouth holes with the pegs. He found a fit and started turning it. Wooden doors closed on his arm and he wrapped his arm out. A ball started rolling across a couple of beams above us and before we knew it Data was falling. We all crowded around we called for him and he didn't answer.
"He's dead"
Andy cried out. Brand pulled Mikey into his embrace.
"Guys! Guys! My chatter teeth saved me hey there's another room down here"
He yelled up. We found our way down and helped Data down.
