Manik's pov. (Final chapter)

"Manik!? Aaaaaa." Riya opened her mouth and I stared at her in confusion. She pointed at the food and I realized I was feeding her before I got lost in my thoughts.

"Sorry," I mumbled before scooping a spoon full of rice and doing my job.

"Dwyan kaha hai tumhara?" She said with mouth full, making me sigh.

I quickly regained my posture before offering a small smile,"Kuch nahi. Now finish this before the doctor scolds me." I held the food in front of her but she looked away pouting.

She crossed her hands in front of her chest still not looking at me,"Don't lie to me! Alya told me you are having a "girl problem." Why didn't you tell me? I thought I was your best friend."

I turned to look at Alya who typed away on her computer, unbothered. When she felt my gaze on her she looked up scrunching her nose in confusion, a common habit of hers, "What?"

She wasn't even paying attention.

"Alya! I told you not to mention Nandini to Ri-" I started but was soon interrupted with a taunting voice.

Riya is going to kill me.

"So her name is Nandini. Great, you don't tell me anything these days!" She moved her hands in exasperation.

"You were unconcious!" I tried to defend on myself. She rolled her eyes at me,"It's been two days since the operation. I'm fine now!" She tried to sit up straight to prove her point only to whimper in pain.

"Riya!" I scolded before keeping the food aside and helping her adjust her position, "Stop moving. You have injuries all over your body!"

"You don't tell me what to do! I'm mad at you!" She jerked my hand away and I glared at her.

"You-"

"I have work to do. You guys enjoy, okay?" Alya picked up her stuff and sighed, clearly disturbed by our bickering

"Aly-" she left the hospital room before I could ask for help.

I looked up at Riya who refused to look at me. I sucked in a deep breath before whispering, "Fine, what do you want to know?"

I saw a small smile tug on her lips before she turned to look at me quickly concealing the curve. However the excitement in her eyes didn't go unnoticed.

"Everything!" She squealed, finally breaking into a full blown grin.

She was excited at first but her smile dimmed and eventually faded as I reached to the end where I had said goodbye with no intention to return.

It was the best for both of us. I had caused enough havoc in her life. I had broken her trust and she still gave me a chance. I didn't deserved her. I was too much of a mess that wasn't needed anywhere.

"Boy's are stupid with a captial S." She said, her nostrils flaring in irritation as her eyes looked down at me in disappointment.

"I don't deserve her." I said, sadness lacing my tone.
