Emily
I was sound asleep when I felt an arm wrap around my waist, terrified I began to kick and try and scratch at the intruder. The arm around my waist only tightened more, I couldn't help but scream. 'He got me, he got me!' A sob I couldn't hold in, it was so dark, I couldn't breath, I was so scared.
"Hush little one," a familiar deep voice rumbled in my ear. "It's just me."
"Rage," I cried out in relief. "I thought he got me."
"I'm sorry little one I didn't mean to frighten you." He turned me to face him, a rough calloused thumb wiped the tears off of my face.
"Well you did! What are you doing here? In my bed?! How did you even get in my house?!" I was mad and relieved to be in his arms.
"Your window was open," he shrugged.
"I'm on the second floor! How did you get up here." I pushed away from him and his hold on me was firm, but not rough.
"I jumped." He said matter of factly.
"To the second floor?"
"Yes, and that window should always remain locked when you are home alone." He rumbled angrily. "You aren't safe, anyone could have gotten in."
"Yes just like you did!!!" I said angrily.
"But I'd never hurt you, you are mine and I'll always keep you safe." His deep rumbley voice sent shivers up my spine. "Why did you run away from me ?" His body stiffened next to me.
"You scared me ok ? It was a really rough day to begin with and then there you were sweeping me off my feet, literally." I sighed, "it was a lot to deal with and I panicked. I'm sorry, does it help if I tell you that I would have given in and gone to see you in a day or two ? It's only been a day and I was already missing you."
He pulled me in close and crushed me to his chest, "you are mine Emily, mine." His lips pressed into mine in a possessive kiss. "Mine."
His hold on me loosened slightly, Rage sighed in frustration.and caressed my hair soothingly. "Go back to sleep Emily it is late, and you need your rest."
"What's wrong Rage?"
"You said you wanted things to go slow, you are inexperienced and wish to get to know each other better, so for you I will go slow." He placed a gentle kiss on my lips, "I would do anything for you."
