The species officer scowled, "A Wild Zone resident, she should go to medical." Looked at me warily "to check for injuries"
"She's fine Sky, no reason to go to medical, she's just had a very long night and wants to get home. But I would appreciate it if you could send an officer to escort her home I'm sure you were told what happened last night. I'd probably recommend them going through her home for a security check. Rage isn't going to be too happy to see she has left so I'd hurry up on that."
The species male sighed and spoke into his radio, "Tiger I need a few Security officers to the female that came in last night home, Rage isn't going to be happy she's leaving."
A deep snarl was heard over the radio, "As if we Didn't have enough to deal with." I flinched "have Hunter and Sky escort her home."
I waved goodbye to Tammy as I was ushered to two new species officers, "you are the small female who works in the bakery in town" the dark haired male said to me. He was huge and built and had a harsh looking face that softened when he smiled.
"Yes I'm Emily," I held out my hand to him, his large hand engulfed my small hand.
"I am Hunter, and this is my friend Sky, it is nice to meet you Emily."
"where is your home female?" A tall man with golden hair and striking blue feline eyes asked me.
"I live about 15 minutes down the main road, it's actually adjacent to your property. I rattled off my address, the big White House with the farm that runs next to the creek."
"Mr. Garcia's Property ?" His face scrunched you in thought. "You Mr Garcia's daughter? I am so sorry your loss, he was a kind male and a greatly loved by species."
My smile wobbled and tears began to fill my eyes, "thank you, he always said working with Species was the least he could do to make up for what humans put you through. He was always so proud when he spoke of you're accomplishments."
"Let's get you home Miss García" I was lead to my car, the species males proceeded to follow me home in their SUV. I pressed the button in my car that opened to front gate, and the followed me in."
As we got home they motioned for me to stay in the car, My Dog Oso came barreling in barking at the unfamiliar car. I quickly got out of the car only to be met with a scowling species male in front of me. "I said stay in the car."
"But I needed to settle down my dog," I crouched down and called out to him "Oso, come here baby. Mi Osito bonbon, ven aqui." His fluffy white tail began to wag wildly as he crawled his way to me only to roll over for a belly rub. " Who's a good boy? Mi Cachorito Lindo, precioso." I smiled at the big dog who was 120 lbs of white fluff who wouldn't harm a fly.
I looked up at Hunter who had a grin on his face, "that's a lot of dog for such a tiny human female. What was his name ?"
"Oso," I began to get slobbery dog kisses at the use of his name, "it means bear, since he looks like a polar bear.
"That name fits," a serious expression "I am being serious female you get in you vehicle and wait there one of us will be out to escort you in to the property. Sky let's check the house first then the barn, I doubt there is anyone in here since that is a big dog who would easily scare away most intruders."
I called out the code for the security alarm as they walked into the house.
5 minutes later both males came out with grins on their faces, "You are a Strange human why are there 2 bedrooms for rabbits in your home."
I laughed "they are my pets and it is nice having them inside with me, as you can see," I gestured to the large 6 bedroom 4 bath house, "there is plenty of room for them since it's just me in there. Thank you for checking though, it makes me feel much safer."
"Any more surprises in the building there ?" Hunter chuckles.
"Just a few goats, the chicken coop is just behind it. No more surprises I promise. Since the house is clear may I go inside to wait while you finish."
"Yes we will let you know when we are done inspecting the property."
I proceeded to go in my house, so thankful that they were making sure I was safe. I went to my fridge and pulled out some of my homemade bacon from my freezer, placed it on a cookie sheet to bake in the oven. I then began to make a batch of pancakes, and scramble a 6 eggs, I thought about how big the species were and grabbed 6 more eggs.
Just as I was pulling the first two pancakes off my griddle I heard a knock at my back door. "Come in,"
The two species came in, "everything looks clear, female." I saw them both sniffing, and subtly eyeing the pancakes I was placing on a plate.
"Thank you, come have a seat. I made you breakfast, it was the least I could do since you escorted me home and made sure I was safe. Pancakes are almost ready, bacon should be ready in 5 minutes ." Both males stool awkwardly by the door, "come, sit" I gestured to the kitchen table. Both men silently obeyed.
