Awakening

These angels keep on pursuing me
Their light bothers me
I like being in dark but they're fighting it
Push me back to life
But I'd rather die in here
Sinking by breathing
The lighter, the more I fight her
Cause this head is a highway to the underworld
Where demons and swords lay on the floor
Knights and kings go down there for sure
To find the strength to win what they battle for
Blackness is the road that takes us home
Candles are blindfolds to this empress
Slavery is what the mind has in store
Riots of blood burning us to the core
These chains carry the belief of better days
But locked up souls go nowhere
Flowing through the metal that marks them everyday
The glimpse of hope is stroke down by the red-yellow flames
They burn brighter than the sun
Getting higher than the skies
Showering star dust upon us
I'll be cinder by the time they fall
This throne has brought kings to their knees
And queens murdered through the ribs
All along demons win over peace
So inside this head, insanity turns into a sacred vow
The beast has taken the crown
Hard times and hunger men whisper in the crowd
But I no longer serve my flash to the wolves,
Not anymore.
