"Welcome everyone to your new school and welcome to secondary school." said my new teacher Miss Sage, "Okay let's see if I can remember everyone's name."
I hate this super enthusiastic tone that she uses.
When she got to me she struggled with me name. Everyone does.
" Chloe?" she attempts.
I shake my head. Like I do with every teacher. Every year. It's an annual thing.
"Help me out." she says.
"Charlie!" I almost yell.
For some reason as I grow older I don't grow thicker skin. Like every year, I feel the tears come to my eyes.
Next thing I know I hear the bell. And run out of the classroom.
As I'm running to my locker for the first time in grade seven I feel the rush of the air around me.
Next thing I know I'm on the floor.
Holding my head.
"Sorry!" a voice rings out behind me.
I turn around to see who the culprit is.
"Wow!"
Did I really say that out loud?
I smile as he walks away. Only leaving me with the satisfaction of a crush.
I watch him as he walks off. Acting stupid with his friends.
I smile and bite my lip.
He's gorgeous!
