I was currently on my way home from class when I got a call from an unknown number.
"Hello?" I said with a frown.
"Hey, wassup Megan?"
"Who is this?" I don't give my number to people so this was weird.
"Damn after all the time we spent together the other night you don't know my voice?" that instantly made me smile a little cause I knew exactly who this was.
"Well hey stranger"
"My apologies ma I got caught up with work." At least I knew he wasn't entertaining somebody else. I couldn't trip about it anyway
"You're fine. I've been busy with school and work anyway."
"Are you busy right now?"
"No, I just got out of class so I'm on my way home."
"Let me take you out tonight." That made me smirk.
"I thought I was too young for you."
"Yes or no ma?"
Might as well take Ari's advice right?
"What time should I be ready?"
"I should be wrapping up here around 6 so be ready at 7. Send me your address."
"Okay. I'll see you later East." I said before hanging up.
As soon as I hung up I called Ari to see if she wanted to do a mall run with me. She picked up on the third ring.
"Hey bestie, how was class pooh?"
"Girl same as always on Thursdays I swear Professor Howard hates his job." I said rolling my eyes.
"What you doing now?"
"I just got home but, I called to see of you wanted to do a mall run with me. I gotta find a outfit for tonight."
"It's Thursday bitch. Where you going on a Thursday night?" She make it seem like I don't have a life.
"I got a date. Now is you coming or I'm going by myself?"
"I'll meet you at Lenox?" I could hear the excitement in her voice imagine her face when I tell her who it's with.
"Alright I'm on my way."
At the mall
Me and Ari were about 3 stores in and I didn't like anything so far everything I put on just made my curves pop out. Now don't get me wrong I know what I'm working with but, I didn't want East to think I was on that with him.
"Bitch who you going on this date with that you care so much?" Ari said while looking at me.
"East." I said without looking up.
"East? Herb friend East?!"here she go being loud.
"Yes Ariana, tell the rest of the mall cause I don't think they heard you."
"Bitch thats where yo ass was the night we went to the club too huh?" She said smirking.
"Yes, and before you assume we ain't do shit."
"Ya'll both so mean I'm surprised he taking you out."
"He ain't that bad once you get to know him" I said looking at a black and white striped outfit.
"Aww my bitch finally getting some play."
"Bitch who said anything about some play? This just a friendly date. You like this?" I said holding the outfit up.
"Yeah It's cute. East ain't gone be able to keep his hands off you. I can put that new wig on you when we get back home."
" The one with the long middle part?"
"Yeah. You can wear them red heels you just got with that purse too for a pop of color"
"Well lets go because it's already going on 4 and I need to be ready by 7." I said walking towards the counter to pay.
"I can't believe your bougie ass is finally going on a date. This the first time since we moved here." She said while smiling.
"Well he actually sat down and had a conversation with me so why not? I told you he's cool once you get to know him. It's really just that mean mug he has all the time." I said giving the cashier the outfit.
"How are you ladies doing today? Did you find everything you needed?" the cashier said smiling.
"Yes we did, and were good thanks for asking." I said keeping it short because it was time to go and I know how me and Ari can be. We think the world is on our time. We're late to everything.
"Okay you're total is $49.50. Cash or card?"
After paying me and Ari went out separate ways to our cars so we could meet at the house.
