"Joses, tell the doctor she's waking up."

I opened my eyes to see my stepmom looking at me with sorrowful eyes.
No wait, where was I? Hospital.......Blackout...........Accident...............Edmund!

"I killed Edmund.", I said amidst tears. "Mother I killed Edmund!"

"It was me, I called him then he kissed me then..then......." The doctor had injected me with another sedative.

I woke up in some hours time. This time I didn't feel like talking again. "My child, you have a visitor. Come closer Flynn." Did I hear her say Flynn? No, did I just hear "my child"?

I was so confused. What was going on?
I asked my step mom and my step brother(who had just arrived from Finland) to excuse us. I could see Flynn trying hard to conceal his sorrow. Me lying on a hospital bed was certainly not a pleasant sight for him.

I was going to be fine. I wasn't sick. We talked for sometime before he finally asked, "Why did you choose him over me?" His voice sounded pleading but firm. I explained to him that I was not dating Edmund and if he wanted me to be better he'd better not bring that issue up again.

He left after sometime. The doctor came to check on me and I was finally discharged.
My step mom escorted me to my room and asked to call her if I needed anything. I didn't know if I was thinking straight but as far as I could recollect, we were never on good terms.

Why the sudden change in behaviour? Was it because of me being in the hospital?
I didn't get it. She even allowed Flynn to come and see me. Something was definitely not right.

Deep into the night, I woke up to someone knocking on my door. I opened it to see my step brother. "Joses, what are you doing here in the middle of the night?" He gave no answer. He walked past me and sat on my bed.

"Close the door"

"What the hell do you.."

"I said close the door!"

I did so. The last time this happened, he almost raped me. What would I do now?

"Rosette." He said calmly. "Provided you do as I say, you'll live in peace in this house."

"I'm very sorry but I can't do anything I have not planned to do, obeying you is the last thing on my mind."

"My mom has been called to work for an emergency service and since you don't want the easy way, I'll go the hard way. Don't bother shouting."

I tried running out but he held my night wear and pulled me back. He pushed me onto the bed and pinned me down.

He kissed my neck and slowly sat up. I was looking for a way to escape but it was no use.
He tore my night wear and lustfully admired my naked body.
I couldn't resist any longer. I was tired. I was already weak from those medications I was taking.

I wearily gave in and he had his way with me.
