After calling him for days without an answer, I texted him.

Mother realized I had not been fine ever since I came back from school. Flynn's behaviour had changed. He hardly called. He never texted. I was worried. I refused to think he was cheating on me.

After sometime I decided to go to his house. The security personnel recognized me and let me in. He went ahead to call Flynn for me.

"What is going on Flynn? Ever since I came you've been avoiding me!"

"I'm sorry honey......I've just been busy"

"Busy enough not to reply my calls?"

"What are you whining about, I said I'm busy!"

"I'm really sorry. Forgive me.....I just miss you."

"I know....go home I'll see you later."

I lost appetite. I wasn't well. Mother came to see me that evening. After telling her what happened, she told me the relationship had ended. It was so obvious he was seeing someone else. I listened to her but I chose not to believe it. Flynn wouldn't dare.

I kept on calling and texting him. He hardly replied but I didn't loose hope.
One cozy evening, as I lay dejected on my bed, Joses came into my room.

"Hi Rosette"

"Hi."

"I know we ain't on good terms but I came to show you something."

I took his phone and observed.

"Edmund! Edmund! You........you are alive."

"Yes I am alive girl"

"I never died. I called out of guilt. I did you wrong and I have to apologize."

"What are you talking about?"

"Listen to me carefully.
I really wanted to be your friend Rosette but a guy came around and offered me work in a very prestigious factory in exchange of leaving you alone. I agreed because the pay was good. The accident was staged Rosette. It was an attempt to get you to forget me. He wanted you for himself. I'm talking about Flynn."

"What?!"

"Let me finish Rosette. I've been living in peace till I got a wedding invitation from him a week ago. The girl looks exactly like you Rosette. I'm really sorry but he used you to replace the girl so his family will not give him pressure. I've had sleepless nights Rosette. I sent Joses pictures of Flynn and the girl. You can look at it later. I'm very sorry."

I couldn't believe it. Joses ended the call and showed me the pictures. The girl and I were complete lookalikes. I was dumbfounded. I asked Joses to excuse me and I cried into the night.

I called Flynn the next day and he picked up. He confirmed everything and claimed he was sorry.......
