The pain was engulfing him whole. His chest tightened to the point that he couldn't breathe. There were tears in his eyes, falling down the sides of his cheeks when it all became too much for him to bear. His heart was breaking. He felt like the million pieces of his heart was on the floor, gone from his entire being. The life of him got taken and he didn't know how to live anymore. He just felt cold.
"Zee?" A hesitant voice approached, but the heartbreak was blinding him, he couldn't recognize anything other than the ache in his chest. He just wanted for the ground to swallow him whole and never come back out.
"I think he's in shock."
"We need to get him out, now."
"P', let me."
He flinched as a hand landed on his shoulder, it was soft but for some reason it weighed heavier, pushing him down spiralling in his emotions. He wanted to scream, but his throat refused to work. The tears continuously fell, his blurred vision on the ground. He felt suffocated.
"P'Zee?" His ears perked up, a thought nagged at him, like he was missing something important. "Phi? It's me."
He shook his head, to clear the thoughts away. The same ache settling deeper in his chest. "No."
"Hey, hey," hands lifted his head up, and through blurry vision he saw Tutor. His heart broke again.
"I'm sorry, please, don't let me go." He begged, and now his arms seemed to work, holding on to the same hands cupping his cheeks. "Tor, I'm so sorry!"
"Shh, hey." Tor hushed him softly, and through his tears, he saw his eyes were glistening too, and he panicked.
"No, don't cry, I'm sorry, I'll go!"
Fighter seemed to be unaware of the people leaving the set, and all he could do was focused on not making Tor cry again. He can handle this pain, he can let go. If Tor just stopped crying. He never wants to see him cry.
"P'Zee?" Tor called softly, and his brows knit together. "Hey, you did well, okay?"
He shook his head confused, tears seeming to pause, "Tor, w-what-"
"P'Fight's gone. Come back to me P'Zee." Tor adjusted his hold on his face, urging him to look up when his gaze landed on the floor in confusion. "P'Zee?"
Zee? That was him wasn't it? Could it be?
He stared at the other's eyes, the concern and love reflecting in them. It couldn't be...
The clouds in his head slowly ebbed away, his hand slacked against the arm it was wrapped around on. He inhaled in harshly, and felt relief. Like he somehow forgot that he held his breath for so long.
"Saint." Zee breathed out, and the tears came rushing back. But this time, it was filled with solace. Unhurriedly, his heart seem to knit back into pieces.
"Yes, it's me Saint."
Zee closed his eyes tightly, turning his head and pressing his lips to the hand cupping his cheek, lingering there and trying to convey his feelings through the simple touch. The grip on one side of his face slackened but only to drift down to cup at his neck. The heat of Saint suddenly surrounding him, as he felt him move closer, the warmth encasing him so.
"I'm sorry." Zee spoke against the palm of his hand, tears finally coming to a stop. He didn't open his eyes just yet, feeling the need to ground himself in Saint in this little touch. "I just-"
"I understand P'," Saint whispered, tone so gentle. "I really do."
"It felt so real."
"I know."
"I thought I was losing you too."
Zee opened his eyes, breathing in deep, pressing Saint's palm to his cheek, and holding on to Saint's hand that was cupping his neck. Saint was biting his lip, eyes glistened with tears. "I know."
"I just," Zee shook his head, trying to not cry again. "That feeling of breaking up. They told me to feel Fighter. To think of how I would feel if I were to lose my soulmate. How I would lose the only person that was my whole world."
Saint didn't say anything, but his eyes urged him to continue, knowing Zee wasn't finished.
"You're my whole world." The admittance wasn't something new, he could count numerous of times he said that to Saint. But this time felt different somehow. "The thought of losing you..."
Saint bit his lip harder, and Zee released his hold on Saint's arm and thumbed the abused lip, making his Nong release it. He caressed it, eyes trailing over Saint's features as if to memorize it. He already did.
"I can't lose you too." Saint murmured, his fingers gripping at Zee's neck tightened, thumb falling into place in it's home, stroking it lightly. Meeting his Nong's eyes, Zee felt the tantalizing emotions coursing through them, the same thing reflected in his own. Zee knew he understood. Zee knew he felt the same way. "But know this Phi..."
Zee moved closer, their breaths mingling, and he felt himself trying to drown in the reality of the moment. The emotions from Fighter still swirling around him in small pieces.
"You're my universe, I'll never be without you."
Saint stared down at him, eyes dark with emotion. Zee always thought them to be expressive, a trait he loved. And as always, with just a few words, with just a look into his eyes, like he's watching and being taken by Saint's soul, he suddenly felt free. All the lasting emotions slipped away, and all he could feel was then and now.
"Phi loves Saint na Krub."
Saint smiled and it enveloped him. "I love you."
They stared for a moment, basking in each other's embrace. Zee had forgotten everything around them, all he could focus on was Saint. He leaned in slowly, Saint echoing his movements, before finally their lips touched.
It was weird, he thought he finally had a moment to finally breathe. But the minute their lips touched, it was like he could finally live again. Pressing into it softly, they kissed languidly. The flow of oxygen suddenly feel like it settled within him, making him feel light. Making him feel whole again.
When they broke apart, they didn't move far. They just continued to stare at each other. Though it was over, the feeling of fear will always be inside him, but right now, he can breathe.
