Luminara was careful to be quiet. She put a pair of fluffy socks on, as well as a cardigan. She hoped that nobody else was awake at this ungodly hour.
She stuck her head out of the the door and crept out onto the white marble corridor.

Luminara waited. She was certain that she'd heard something.

Luminara sighed and shook her head. Maybe her nerves were just getting to her. She turned around and began to shut the door.

There it was again. It was calling for her, she was sure of it. Slowly she started down the cold corridor of the alien palace. She hoped that she'd avoid any guards who might be passing by her on their nightly rounds.
Luminara followed the echos of the voice down a staircase and eventually to a heavy stone door. She pressed it lightly and it didn't budge.

A picture of her parent's disappointed faces played in her mind. Luminara sighed and tightened her cardigan around her shoulders. How foolish she was.
The princess walked back upstairs and into her quarters. The voice of reason having won.
But what or who was the other voice?
And why her?
