Part-5

Lilly is preparing lasagna as for dinner tonight. She is humming in low while browning the onion, garlic and meat on the hot pan together. It's been so while since the last time she made this dish. She is thinking about making some egg sandwiches too.

Katy is in their living room, watching tv. It's showing her favorite tv peogram "America Got Talent.S-2". She is singing along with the contestants.
The boy on stage couldn’t be more than a thirteen year old teen. But his voice sounds is more than a mature man of 30. Insane it may seem. But he is actually singing too good.  

"Everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody hurts someday, ayy ayy
But everything gon' be alright
Go and raise a glass and say, ayy"

Just when Lilly hears Katy doing "dooo doo doo doo" along with the music the doorbell rings. 

"Katyyy?"
"Dooo doo doo ayy ayy ayy"
"Kate, open the door baby!"
"I can't. I'm busy mommy!"
"Kate!"
"And I'm so little. Can't reach the door knob even. Remember?  Dooo dooo doo doo doo ayy ayyy."

Lilly gave up. This little girl is sometimes incredible to handle.

She lowered temperature of the gas stove and went for the door.

"Surprise!" screamed Lilly's mother Mrs.Stephanie and Kate's only aunt Joiee together. She also brought her 4month old son Edd with her. He is sleeping in her lap. Drooling. Of Course!

"Oh mother!" Lilly hugged her mom tight then her sister Joiee. Gave a soft peck on Edd's head.
"Katy look who is here to see you." Lilly smiled. "So glad to have you here mother. Please come in."

Katy came running. "Nanny!"  Mrs.Stephanie picked her up, gave some sloppy smooches on both of her cheeks. Katy loves Nanny, but as for the smooches, ah... It’s just too spity as she would define.

At dinner Lilly served the Hot oven baked lasagna on the table. She made 2more egg sandwiches for her mom and Joiee. 
They are sitting in square. Edd is still taking nap in his baby trolley. He is looking so adorable. Katy thought as if he was some sort of living cute baby doll that she felt like to cuddle him so much.

She turned to face aunt Joiee, mouth stuffed with noodles, "Would he like to eat with us?"
"No dear.He just had milk an hour ago." said aunt Joiee,smiling
"Ohh. That must be the reason he is sleeping for so long."

Across from her, Mrs.Stephanie made a move from her sit and toward the fridge.
She took out a chocolate cake from it and placed it on the table. Stephanie made this cake specially for Lilly and brought it here. Lilly loves chocolate cake.
Katy picked some chocolate with her index finger and stuffed it inside her mouth, 'yumm!' 

"Manner Katy!" shouted her mother.
"It's okay Lilly. She is just a child."
"By the way" said Joiee sitting right beside her mother " it doesn’t really seem that Lilly is only 19. The way she is maintaining her house,responsibilities, Katy is more than impressive I would say. She is doing everything so well. Most importantly without anyone's help. All alone."

Lilly looked at her sister in a manner of thanking her, Joiee added " We are really proud of you Lilly."
"Yes my child. We are really proud of you baby" said Lilly's mother. "And I hope one day your father would understand this too."
The last sentence brought a sudden silence.
Lilly dropped her eye contact from both of them. Minute passes. 

"Umm, Thank you for the cake mother. It tastes so good." said Lilly, in a tone of rush.

"You're welcome. I knew that you’re gonna like it."

After finishing off their meal and getting all the dishes done Lilly sent her mother to Katy's room to sleep with her. She insisted to take Edd with her, but Joiee refused.

Two of the sisters came to their room. Both in their sleeping gowns.
Making the environment looking as the way it was before when they all used to live together.
Lilly and Joiee continued gossiping till midnight. They talked about all of their favorite movie characters. Joiee told her how she and Eddie(her husband) is planning to have another baby soon.
They joked about certain things. Laughed together.

At the end of their gossip Lilly mentioned it’s already 3 at night and they probably should go to sleep.

"Okay sweety, Night Night."

Lilly got down from her bed to turn out the room light. All on a sudden, Joiee uttered "Lilly."
Lilly looked at her sister questioningly.
Joiee took a deep breath, then said, " Don't you think it's been too long? And You should move on now, Lilly? Go for dates."
Lilly sighed heavily. Took her eyes off of Joiee and placed them straight on the dressing table mirror. On herself.

"Good Night Joiee."
