Once UpOn a Time with Alex 🌸

Part-19

The house he is standing in front is big, spacious. An huge oak tree beside is shadowing it like a safety guard.

Alex cleared his throat. He is wearing black jeans and button down black shirt. His golden brown hair is combed backward and he smell like boyish deodorant.

Alex took a glance at his wrist watch. 7:20 in the evening. Is he too early or late for the party?

He knocked on the front door. Seconds later a guy approximately in his late 40 opened it. He looked confused seeing Alex standing with holding something in his hand covering in nice red rapping paper. 

The guy have exact same hazel eyes as Lilly's. It shocked Alex a little but then he presumed he could be her father. No doubt why Lilly turned out this stunning. 

"Hello, I'm Alex. Is Lilly home?" Alex said,smiling but nervousness left a small trace on his face.
 
"You are her friend?"

Before he could reply Lilly's mother Mrs.Stephanie stepped in and exclaimed,

"Hello! You came exactly in time. Honey, he is a very good friend of Lilly."

"Hi Mrs.Stephanie. Nice to meet you again."

Lilly's dad proceeded a hand toward him,

"Hello. I'm Lilly's dad. You might not have seen or heard about me before. But anyways,  please come in."

A huge grin on his face calmed Alex down.

He motioned Alex toward a big couch where hand full of people were sitting next to each other. Talking and gossiping about stuffs.
He saw Katy and some children of her age running toward the kitchen. Seeing Alex standing in the door way, Katy stopped in the middle of her game or what so ever they were doing. An enormous grin took over her face as she happily ran to him.
Alex bend on his knees and said,

"Happy Birthday to the most beautiful girl living on earth"
Katy giggled. Alex handed her the gift.

"What's inside it?" she asked.

"Open it later." said Alex then gave a quick little kiss on her cheek.

The children, probably her friends gathered around them. Alex waved a 'Hi' to all of them.
One of them came forward and asked,

"Are you Katy's dad?" 

He is a skinny little boy. Probably slightly older than Katy. He is wearing a super man t-shirt and a red cape.  Every other child along him stared at Alex with huge eyes. Curious about the question the cape guy just popped out.

"I am more than just her dad."  Alex smirked.

A girl came forward then declared with an air of confidence,
"I knew it! See! You guys have the same eye color!"

Katy looked as if she don't know what to say. Alex looked at her, then asked,

"Am I right sweety?" 

Katy smiled then nodded in yes.
Alex picked her up and Katy wrapped her arms around his neck. She whispered in his ear,

"I missed you Mr.Stranger."

"Missed you too princess. Where is your mommy?"
A thin fear swept across her face.

"She'll be mad at me." she said, then almost sighed.

"Absolutely not. She is going to scold me a little then we'll be friends again. Wouldn’t we?"

Katy grinned.
