As the darkness became spotty with light, Jay's head thumped as he ran a shaky hand though his hair. He didn't know what was going on, let alone where he was. The man could barely recall his own name or why he was were he was, or what had happened anyway. Jay had peeled his baby blue eyes open slowly, lifting his arm to shield his delicate eyes from the Alabama sun. Or he assumed it was Alabama from his spot in a hole in the ground, in an opening in what he assumed was a forest, or field or opening in somewhere.
This was new...
No matter how hard the man tried, he couldn't recall being here.
But the feeling of déjà vu began to build up, this was too familiar. He was sure he had been here previous, however no matter how hard he thought it didn't sit right with Jay, not for a single second. He sat up, pushing himself up and propping himself on his elbows to help himself as he looked down at his left hand, it covered in a crimson. It scared him, letting out a small squeak as he pushed himself back with his feet only to feel an intense amount of pain shoot through his body from his stomach, letting out a loud hiss of pain, grabbing at his stomach and he hunched over.
His eyes fluttered open, focusing on his hands as he removed them again, more blood than before now as he found the source almost instantly.
A bullet wound.
It would have certainly explained the amount of pain he was in.
However the only difference was he wasn't in a field. He was in a room. A small room with the sun gleaming through the busted windows. However the blood was real. The pain. That was real. The bullet wound, real.
He guessed it went right through, it sure felt like it. The man scanned the surroundings, taking in everything. Could have been Rosswood. He prayed to God it wasn't. But he knew his luck. He knew all to well his luck had ran out quite a while back now.
His eyes landed on a med kit, on top of that was a mask and next to that a note. Jay held onto his side as he managed to get on his knees, using his other hand to help himself up, a groan escaping his lips. It hurt to move, it hurt so bad. His skin burned up, he was swaying as the man stumbled a little, swiping the note up and reading it aloud."DID YOU SEE ME? I SAW YOU." Jay had said, taking a seat next to the next to the pile of junk things on the floor, wincing a little bit as he hit the ground. "COME BACK, FIND ME." Jay turned the paper around, reading the back. Just the same stupid symbol as he looked up. In the distance, Jay had noticed a familiar shape that could have only been his camera. Before doing anything though he looked at the mask. It was like some sort of microchip had been placed in his head or something. His hand hovered over the mask that had a massive resemblance to
Tim's until a painful static started ringing in his ears. His hands moving to grip his head as he moved away from the mask, the static dying down a little the further he got. He was sick of the tricks, sick of everything now. He didn't feel right, he felt so ill. So cold. So trapped. He had backed up as far as his feet took him, tripping over some rubble as he held his head in his hands, mumbling words that if you listened closely to would have made sense. His head propped up as he again attempted to take in the surroundings, he knew the static was horrid news, the mask wasn't the source.
He was.
The room was small, his time was steadily getting smaller. He was running out of time fast and with Alex on the other side of the door he knew that he wasn't getting past him. Things had come back to him. He knew exactly how he got here.
He was going insane. That thing had finally made its way into his system and he was doomed the same damned fate of the rest of them.
He seen him in the window first, he wondered if death had come to take him. His eyes fluttered shut only for Jay to force them back open, fighting the feeling of being tired off as best as he could. He refused to die here. Alex's banging on the door helped him stay awake, the vibrations and the sheer panic of "what if he got in" kept the blood pumping for better or worse. The sun had began to hurt his eyes now, almost like a path. It pointed and landed at the tips of his toes.
He then seen him place a hand through, if you could even call it that. It made Jay sick, crawling around dirt and broken glass and opening up the med kit. Inside, painkillers that were prescribed to Timothy, a few rolls of bandage and disinfectant wipes. It definitely was better than nothing and if he wanted even a chance to get out, he would need to act fast.He looked at the mask for a moment, a disgusted glare plastered onto his face. Who knew a few masks and tapes could fuck his life up so bad?
He shook his head as he began to take his top off, it looked worse than what it felt like..is what he told himself as he attempted to encourage himself, to stop being a baby and get it over with. He couldn't stop the groan from leaving his mouth, wincing as he used a wipe to at least clean the surrounding area. As long as he stopped the bleeding long enough to get to a hospital.
However by the time he had wrapped a few layers of the bandages his eyelids had gotten way to heavy. He was already panicking and now the only thing that filled the silence was his heart beating loudly in his chest. So loud he was sure it would burst right through skin. Now he was certain, death was destiny.
No escaping it. He just had to take it on the chin.
He saw him in the corner. And with it came back the static. It seemed much more aggressive, it had something to prove. His chest moved up and down as it stared at the white spot that, if any other normal thing, would've been a face as his hand went back to his side, scooting himself into the door until his back pressed against it.
He wasn't ready for deaths embrace but for whatever reason for the first time in forever Jay felt a calm wave rush over him. If he did die tonight that would be it. Game over.
Would that be a bad thing?
He supposed he would find out soon. Things were too fuzzy to make out anymore, a figure stood infront of him, holding Jay's hand in one of its and placing the mask in it as Jay gave in to the darkness that quickly engulfed his vision. It felt like he was floating and for the first time in forever,
He felt happy.
