Just to make things clear, I am not a stalker.
Alexus Ryan.
That was what the nametag on the blazer said.

I sighed, getting back up on my feet.
All because of Caramel.

"Done!"

I hung the blazer on the clothing rack. The skin on my fingers were all wrinkled up and my arms ached from having to hand wash the blazer.

I collapsed onto my bed, staring at the ceiling.

My thoughts drifted...
his long eyelashes
the way his hair floated slightly when the wind blew
his lips were such an attractive shade of pink...

wait. what!?

I sat up and slapped myself.
"Get a hold of yourself Skyler, his practically a stranger! Not the time to have another unrealistic crush!" I scolded myself.

I fell backwards, my back hitting the bed.
Hmmm... something feels off....
did I lock the front door?
I remember clearly locking it though...

what is it?

Soon, my eyelids felt heavy and everything went pitch black.

Grabbing the blazer and a hanger, I quickly hung the blazer and stuffed it into a translucent suit dress cover.

I was late for school. Again.

My feet pounded against the gravel, my breath coming in gasps. I was late for English which had started fifteen minutes ago.

Made it!  I paused for a few seconds outside the classroom door, catching my breath. "Let's hope Ms Benson isn't on her period," I mumbled quietly under my breath as I swung the classroom door open.

"Ah, what a pleasant surprise Miss Jones. I was wondering where you were," the most annoying English teacher said while she looked at me with her condescending eyes and sarcastic smile. "I'm really sorry Ms Benson, this won't happen again," I replied meekly. What was really going through my head however, was more like: "stop staring at me karen!"

I quickly went to my seat and placed my bag and the suit dress cover next to my table on the floor.

"Alright class, turn to page 10 of the handout I gave you last week!"

I opened my bag, rummaging through all my papers and files. Where is it? Panicking slightly, I searched my bag one more time which only proved to be useless. Shit.

I looked up and ended up locking eyes with Candyce on accident. She was staring at who knows what was so interesting on the ground only to look up and meet my gaze.

Our mini staring contest that lasted about three seconds was excruciatingly awkward.

"Would you like to share the handout with me?" she asked sweetly.

Candyce McKnight. She had a tongue as sweet as candy but intentions as sly as a vixen. She would be the most angelic being in front of you and then talk behind your back like there was no tomorrow.

But I was desperate.

"Thanks!" I smiled and shifted my chair next to hers.

Mayaa laughed. "Don't bullshit Skyler."

"I'm not! Why would I bullshit about this?" I replied indignantly. "So you're really going to Wellston High? And you're crossing the border to Sover Del District?"

I nodded. "And if you don't mind, I'll be making way there now," I said, beginning to walk away. "Be careful! You don't know what those rich preppy kids will be like!" she called. I looked back and flashed her a reassuring smile. "Bye! Get home safely!" I yelled back.

I walked, and walked some more before stopping and looking up at the sign that pointed to the left and read "Sover Del District."

This was going to be my first time stepping foot into the neighborhood that was so close yet so far. I didn't know whether it was the fact that it was unknown territory or the fact that it seemed so intimidating because of how expensive it was that made me so nervous, but I was. I was very nervous. My heart felt like it was about to burst out of my chest.

Head empty, I crossed the border and I ventured into uncharted waters.

────────────────

My jaw dropped open. holy shit.

I stared, dumbfounded. Wellston High was an actual castle. Like something out of a Disney film.

First of all, the school was HUGE. It was easily three times the size of my school. Some of the buildings were made of grey bricks with green ivy hanging from the walls. Kinda reminded me of Rapunzel's tower. Not just that, the school had a clock tower. A. mother. freaking. clock. tower.

"May I help you?" a gruff voice asked. I whirled around to face the security guard. "I'm here to drop something off at the General Office."

After filling in my particulars, I was finally allowed entry into the school.

My eyes scanned the area, not believing that this was an actual school. The school grounds were pretty empty except for a few students who gawked at me. I ignored them, though I was unable to stop myself from feeling inferior and small compared to them. While they were wearing an expensive uniform along with branded bags that probably costs thousands of dollars, I was wearing clothes that I had thrifted for less than twenty dollars.

They were a good deal though.

I entered the doors of the prestigious school which looked more like a six star hotel. The flooring was marble. Let me say this again. MARBLE.

I looked around, trying to find the General Office.

Just kidding, I was way too distracted by how posh the school was. Wellston High was truly the Wellston High.

Unfortunately, my lack of awareness led me to turn a corner and completely not see who was in front of me.

"I'm so sorr-" the words got stuck at the back of my throat. It was him. Alexus Ryan.

His cold, green eyes continued looking at me. No, glaring at me. Snapping back to reality, I took out the blazer and handed it to him. "Your blazer."

He took it silently, inspecting the blazer for any faint stains of cat food. "Don't worry, I washed it carefully," I said awkwardly. His friend who looked Asian cocked his head at me.  Alexus nodded, about to walk away. "I'm Skyler by the way," I blurted out.

I couldn't help it, okay! It felt weird and kinda rude not to introduce myself.

He continued walking. Didn't even give so much of a reaction as a flinch.

"Don't mind him, he's like that to everyone. I'm Kyzo by the way. You don't look like you're from around here... where are you from?" his friend, Kyzo asked. "I'm from the nearby neighborhood, Dunken Drive. Student at Greenfield High School." I smiled.

Hmm... looks like students in Wellston weren't just rich, they're good-looking as well.

"Woah, never met someone from there before. Anyways, nice meeting you but I have to go for chemistry, see ya!" he waved before running and catching up with Alexus.

I probably will never meet them again.

And for some reason, I felt disappointed.
