We couldn't decide what to do for this, so we did 3 separate things. They aren't connected in any way, we're just indecisive.

"John! Did you feed the turtle?"

Alexander Hamilton was currently fixing his tie in the reflection of the TV screen in his living room, while his husband was getting dressed upstairs. They were going to Alex's highschool reunion.

"About to!" John called, his voice echoing through their house. It only took a few minutes, and it would take even longer to manage to convince Phillip that this wouldn't be a total waste of time. Their six year old was almost as stubborn as both of them combined, and that was saying something.

"Pip, come on, it'll be fun," he reassured him, smiling softly at his son.

"Why can't I stay with Auntie Liza? I don't wanna wear a stupid tie."

"Because Auntie Liza has to work." He smiled a little, sitting next to Phillip on his bed. "Trust me, it'll be fun. And if it isn't, at least there'll be food." That for a laugh from the small boy, and John grinned softly, standing up slowly, holding out his hand. "C'mon, Papa's waiting downstairs."

He let him slide down the banister, and once he was at the bottom, he picked him up and put him on his shoulders. "Plus, you can bother people Papa didn't like if you want to."

"Fucking Jefferson."

"Phillip!"

"What? Papa says it."

Johns sighed. "Yeah, but he's not supposed to either."

Alex laughed. "But Jefferson's face when he hears him say that? It will be priceless."

"Still no, and you have to explain to his teachers if he says that at school, I'm not dealing with that."

His husband sighed. "Fiiine. Phillip, don't say fuck." He saw John relax, and he smirked. "Unless you're cussing Jefferson out."

"Alexander, no. He's six."

"Alright, alright." The taller man grabbed his keys, winking at his son as he walked out to the car.

"I saw that." John set Phillip down outside the car, and closed his door after he got in. "Just because you don't like Jefferson- ok, granted, he's one of the worst people I've ever met, but still. Let Phillip get a little older." It was only like an hour drive to Alexander's old town, which was coincidentally right next to the town John grew up in, but they only met in college and didn't figure out they only lived a town away growing up until a year after they were married.

They were there in what seemed like only 15 minutes or so, even though it was longer than that. They had managed to get Phillip to at least give it a chance so far, which was good.

Now they just had to deal with Alexander's old classmates.

This would be interesting.

"Hey! Alex!" The man was pulled into a bear hug by an even taller person, who had a thinner man trailing behind him.

"Herc!"

John grinned. "Long time no see, guys." Then, he felt Phillip squeeze his hand, and noticed that he was hiding behind him slightly.

"Hey, John! You got any turtles?"

He laughed. "Yes, but just one. We have trouble enough keeping this one alive." He turned and picked Phillip up, who hid his face in his dad's shoulder.

"Pip? You wanna say hi?"

He shook his head, and John smiled softly.

"That's ok." He turned back to his friends, a grin creeping back onto his face. "What's been up with you guys?"
