Hey guys, I just want to say thank you all to all the support. You guys have no idea how happy it makes me feel that people are enjoying my writing. But anyways let's get this tape rolling.
No One's POV
Footsteps could be heard walking up the stairs until, Deku reappeared and sat down next to his teachers again. The chain still very visible that are attaching Deku and Bakugo. Bakugo was hunched over his head towards the ground, his hands grabbing his hero costume. There were very visible tears running down his face. "You okay, little listener?" Present Mic asked Deku. "Yes" was his only reply.
Bakugo looked up at Deku and green eyes met red ones. "Is this how you always feel, Deku?" Izuku gave a slight nod, while regret washed over Bakugo like a huge wave. But he was having none of it, since when did he care what useless Deku felt like?
He stood up straight tears still pouring down his face, as Gang Orca came in and announced the end of the lesson. The children returned to their teacher, the hero students changed out of their costumes, and loaded back on the bus. The ride back was filled with a such a thick silence you could've cut it with scissors.
Todoroki was trying to figure out what happened. Bakugo was fighting the overwhelming sadness he was feeling. The teachers were concerned not only for Bakugo, but this new link that Midoriya he made connecting his feelings with Bakugo's. Present Mic and Eraser also took note of blood running down Deku's arm, most likely from using his quirk. And Deku was somewhat calm?
The group walked off the bus, with silence still remaining in the air. "Thank you for accompanying Bakugo and I to the class." Todoroki said while bowing. "No problem." The teachers said as Izuku, and Bakugo remained silent.
"Break the fucking link Deku!" Yelled Bakugo losing patience. Deku just walked to the dorms, not taking any notice to Bakugo. "Home!" Bakugo shouted, making Deku stop in his tracks. Bakugo knew exactly what to say. "HOME HOME HOME HOME!" He yelled, Deku crouched down to the ground in tears.
"Izu!" Todorki yelled rushing past the teachers, and Bakugo to get to Izuku. "Are you okay?" Todorki asks him as he puts hand on his back, trying to comfort the smaller teen. Only to have Izuku flinch away. "HOME" Bakugo continued to shout behind him, he knew that the one word that brought all the memories back to Deku was home.
As Bakugo got closer, Deku stood up abruptly and turned to face the ash blonde. The chain that was somewhat faded came back in full color, except now it was blood red. "We all now you're useless Deku, stop trying, give up!" Bakugo yelled. The teachers were about to intervene when Izuku shouted "No, NO! Kacchan I'm not weak kid a used to be."
"Really?" He replied, "Look at your fingers." Izuku brought his fingers up to his face, they were bleeding. Deku didn't realize how much the trigger word had affected him, he rolled up his sleeves to see his arms bleeding severely. The teachers gasped at how much blood Izuku was losing. Most of 1-A was now standing outside the dorms, trying to figure out what the commotion was about.
"If you really think you're not the useless Deku that everyone knows you are, then won't hesitate to fight me." Bakugo says getting into a fighting stance. Everyone's faces paled, Deku had already beaten Bakugo in the Sports Festival. "Fine." He replied with a blank face.
Him and Bakugo started rising until they were ten feet up in the air, in what looked like a bubble of negativity like what Izuku had done in the Sports Festival, except bigger. "We start on three," Bakugo said. Izuku gave him a nod.
"One."
"Two."
"Three."
Bakugo launched at Midoriya, explosions coming out of his hands. Izuku blocked him with a wall of negativity, and Bakugo fell onto his back. He let out a groan in pain, he got up trying to ignore the fierce pain in his back. Deku's eyes had gone pale, as he started floating in mid air, his arms resting at his sides loosely as he glared at the other teen.
Blood was dripping onto the floor of the room made of negativity. All the students were watching curiously at the two fighting. The teacher's were trying to intervene, but not only could nothing get through the walls of negativity, but no sound seemed to be able to reach the ears of the two future heroes.
Bakugo was getting annoyed at the greenette, small explosion were popping from his hands as he regained his balance. Bakugo yet again launched at full scale blast at the smaller teen, only to have Izuku block it with little to no effort.
The now red chain turned orange as Izuku fell onto the ground. Bakugo walked confidently to the crouched green-haired teen. "I never thought that pushing insults onto the chain would have such an effect on you." Bakugo said with a sneer.
The chain turned green, as Bakugo fell to the ground, this time Deku rose. Blood dripping off his arms. "You forgot that chain goes two ways, Kacchan." As Bakugo stood up orange came like a wave painting half of the chain orange.
The whole class watched in awe as green battled with the chain, both of the teen's had faces of determination. They were only a few feet apart, both of them had given up on physically fighting. The chain linking the two was a double edged sword and both of them wanted to take control of it.
That is until Bakugo reached into his back pocket. Green overpowered orange, as Bakugo fell onto his knees yet again. "I win, Kacchan." Deku said with smile. Bakugo looked up at Deku with anger in his eyes. "Not yet, Deku."
Bakugo pounced at Izuku, he broke the chain of with a knife he had pulled out. This sent Deku tumbling back, Bakugo clawed at Izuku's arm causing the bleeding to become a lot more severe. The onlooker were now concerned as Deku seemed to be losing consciousness from blood loss. Bakugo began slicing at Izuku's arm with the knife.
As the bubble faded Bakugo stepped back from Izuku's unconscious body with a sneer. The bubble fully disintegrated and Bakugo landed on his feet, while Izuku's body fell and hit the ground hard.
The small teen gasped, being awakened from his sleep by the force of the ground. All of the students rushed over to Izuku's side, as he was still severely bleeding. While the teachers strolled over to an over-confident Bakugo, clearly angry. "Little Listener, that wasn't okay." Present Mic said shaking his head. "That was a dirty trick pulling out a knife, you nearly killed him." Aizawa said sternly. Bakugo just shrugged his shoulders.
"Midoriya, we could send him to the Principle Nezu if you like." Aizawa said turning to the teen who was now sitting up bandaging his arms. "No, it's fine. Kacchan doesn't need to be punished." Deku his voice cracking. Everyone turned to him in shock.
Izuku stood up. "No one ever said he couldn't use a knife." And with that Izuku turned and started walking back to the dorms. Leaving the whole class confused, but they all knew that since Izuku didn't want action, Bakugo couldn't be punished.
But maybe if someone had at least scolded Bakugo then maybe his behavior wouldn't have continued. But now it's too late.
