No alarm sounded this time. The door opened slowly, letting a bright light inside, and white silhouettes entered and quietly surrounded her bed. B3x tried to blink away the sleep from her eyes. One figure stepped closer and sat on the edge of her bed. Her arm was suddenly taken from out the covers and cold fingers pulled her sleeve up past her elbow. B3x first felt the jab on her skin before she realised what was happening.

"Stay calm. You're alright." A gentle voice shushed her, taking both her shoulders to keep her pressed to the bed. The voice sounded familiar to B3x, almost to an extent where she could trust the words it was saying. Everything blurred again, and by the time the bright light vanished, B3x felt her body lift off the bed, levitating her away into the darkness.

"Wake up." A voice whisper. "Please! Wake up!" wind blew into B3x's ear. It was the same voice she had heard before, though she wasn't sure she hadn't dreamt it. Her thoughts were blurred and her body numb. She tried to open her eyes but a blinding light forced her to close them again.

"You said she'd be fine!" another voice whispered now, a little far away. B3x recognised it immediately as Triah's. The other one had to be Agent Elle's. She tried to move, but her body only squirmed. She felt half dead.

"Oh. Thank God." Triah said, a little closer now. Her hand cupped B3x's wrist.

"Trix? Open your eyes." The Agent said from the other side. B3x tried to comply but the light was too much, it was too white. And her head felt like it was under a pillow. She gagged for air.

"What is wrong with her?!"

"It's the drug. It's becoming more effective."

Something banged on the left of B3x's head, the noise a drawer makes when it is it closed in a haste. But it was too loud for her ears, she had a sudden need to cover them.

"Trix, I need you to listen to me." The Agent said again. "I will put something in your wrist, it is going to hurt, okay?"

Fingers wrapped on her other wrist, and now both her wrists were trapped. Triah shushed her from the right, while Agent Elle was pouring something cold and yet hot over her skin.

"You need to go now."

"I can't leave her like this-"

"Now! They'll be here soon."

A hand brushed B3x's hair. She wanted so painfully to open her eyes, but she couldn't even move a finger anymore.

"Trix, I love you. Don't forget that, alright?" Triah's voice came closer, and B3x felt a light kiss on her forehead. "You'll be safe now. Save us all."

A sudden coldness fell upon B3x's body. She was confused and disoriented, but what she had heard felt real. Her heart was skipping beats and she felt the pain deep inside her stomach, like someone had swung a bat to it. The warmth of Triah's hand was gone, along with her presence. B3x wanted to cry. She whimpered.

"- with me? Trix!" The Agent gripped her hand tighter, jolting her conscience back. "Stay with me, sweety. This is important. I need to know you are listening. Are you listening, Trix?"

B3x tried to speak, but nothing came out. Her throat was closed, the ability no longer there. She opened her lips, closed them again. She heaved, her mind swimming in a tunnel. It took all her mind's power to stay awake long enough to hear everything the Agent had to say. She didn't have strength to remember, but, once you heard it, it stayed there, right? Right, it better be.

B3x fell under.
