Draco wasn't in when I woke up in the morning and I didn't know where he was. So I asked Narcissa where he' gone and she told me that his father had taken him out. This worried me because if Lucius was still in the mood he was last night, then somebody may get hurt, probably Draco. I wouldn’t know what to do if he was.
So here I am writing a poem because I'm bored and there's nothing to do here but sit around and read. It was about everything that had happened in the past few weeks and it was going something like this:
'Now and then I think of you,
Especially when there's nothing to do,
I think of how you kicked me out,
Only because I was the odd one out,
You are my mother,
But I don't know why you bother.
I was put in a different house,
but was as quiet as a mouse,
I did nothing bad,
Why didn't you listen to dad?
You don't care how I feel,
And I think we all need to heal,
You are my mother,
But I don't know why you bother.'
Not the best poem in the world but I'm only twelve."Mia!" He was home. Finally! "I'm home, now where are you? “My friend yelled and I could tell that he was smiling. I was down the stairs in the matter of seconds and giving Draco a hug. He laughed. "Where were you?" I Questioned as I pulled away. "My father took me to get my school things." He said simply. My face fell. I hadn't even received my letter. What if they didn't want to back? "What? What's the matter?" Draco asked with a worried expression. "I haven't got anything!" I shouted. He laughed. He was actually laughing at me! I glared at him. "Don't worry we got you your things as well." Draco laughed while pulling me into a hug. "We were going to take you but I didn't want to wake you." He said softly. I nodded and I said my thanks.
Draco's POV
I can't tell her what happened at Diagon Ally. I was horrible to some of her family, who although kicked her out, she still loves. And Potter. Saint Potter! Gets everything he wants. He can't even go to a book shop without making the front page. I'm from one of the most powerful wizarding families and I don't get any of that. He's a half blood; I'm a pure blood! It should be him and not him!
I was in the book shop when Potter and Granger came in. Potter was covered in sutt from floo powder gone wrong. Gilderoy Lockheart was in, signing his new book, when he caught sight of Potter. This got them on the front page. I wasn't jealous. Not at all. I was mad. "Well if it isn't St Potter, can't even go to a book store without making the front page." I sneered as I came down the steps with a book in my hand.
"Leave him alone." Weaslette said going red in the face slightly. I laughed, "Got yourself a girlfriend, Potter?" I mocked with another laugh. "Now, now, Draco." My father scolded from behind me. I froze, panicked. He said something again and took a book from Weaslette and slipped another inside it. "Where's our sister?" One of the twins asked. I laughed humourlessly. “Your sister. Your sister! Best one I've heard yet. You kicked her out! She had no place to go so we took her in." I sneered again. "Can we talk to you, Malfoy?" The other asked and I nodded and led them out of the shop.
We stopped a bit away where nobody would hear us. "I didn't want her to go-" He was cut off by his twin. "Neither of us did." The other finished solemnly. I nodded. "Then why let her go? Why not fight?" I questioned with a sad expression. "We knew that she'd go to you." Fred, I think replied. "And that you'd keep her safe. Considering how much the two of you wrote to one another." George finished. Despite yourself, I smiled. "Okay." I said and I knew that the twins and I had a mutual understanding when it came to Mia. "Thank you for listening, Draco." Fred said and I could tell that he was surprised with himself. "Nobody else will but you, the one person we would least expect to. Will." His twin finished.
Mia's POV
I had everything for school and everything I needed to the prank that I was going to pull on Fred and George. I may not have spoken to them for ages but they're still my brothers and I REALLY miss them. So I couldn't wait. It was going to be epic! "You ready to go Mia?" Draco shouted from down stairs. "Yep, I just need two seconds. Okay?" I shouted back. Two minutes later, I was at the bottom of the stairs and Draco was lugging my stuff down stairs. "Do you really need all of this?" He asked and it sounded like it took a lot of effort. "Yes." I answered simply as I turned toward the front room, where Lucius and Narcissa were waiting.
"Hurry up Draco, or we'll be late!" I shouted with a glint in my eye that one can only get by living with Fred and George their whole life. "I would if you didn't have so much stuff!" He shouted back in annoyance making his mother and I laugh until Lucius cave us a cold look. "Hurry up, son!" She shouted ad Draco entered the room. "Let’s go, let’s go." I said as if I was the Energiser Bunny from that muggle advert. Grabbing hold of Draco's hand, I pulled him toward his parents than taking the hand that Narcissa offered me, we apperated to Kings Cross.
I was apprehensive, to say the least, about going back to Hogwarts; there would be so much speculation and gossip flying around about Draco and I. None of it would be true because All we are is Friends. Plus, my 'family' would be there and they probably still won't speak to me. Why can't they just 'let bygones be bygones' and get over it? But I want this year to be fun, light and nothing serious at all, apart from the exams, then it will be serious. "Don't worry it'll be fine. They'll forgive you." Draco comforted after seeing my expression. "I've heard those words from your lips before Draco." I told him with a sigh, making him squeeze my hand gently. I smiled gratefully at his comforting gesture and we followed his parents to the front of the crowd.
I could see the red hair of my family just to the left of us, Molly was glaring at us. But the others smiled at us, causing Draco and his parents to give me a questioning look, which I returned with a shrug. I waved to Fred and George and they stated to come over but Molly shot them a death glare and they stopped in their advances. My face fell. I felt an arm snake around my waist and pull me to their side. I looked up and saw Draco stare at my old family. "Just leave it." They weren't worth it and I knew that..
It didn't mean that I had to like it but I would carry on for Draco's sake, if not for my own. "Can I go talk to them?" I asked with a small smile. He hesitated for a moment and I gave him the puppy look. Reluctantly, he nodded. I walked in the direction of the Weasley's before I caught Molly's attention and she glared at me. It should have been enough to deter me but I carried on walking, until I was around 5 metres away. "I'm sorry." I said, looking at the twins, who gave me wide grins and ran over, picking me up and then pulling me over to the rest of them.
Molly didn't look at me and this ticked me off. "Are all the years that you've bought me up. That I've been good and never stepped out of line, being forgotten? Just because I am in another house doesn't mean that I'm not the girl that you raised, Mummy." I just couldn't take it anymore. I was still the same person. She didn't answer. She didn't even look at me! I went back over to Draco. “It will be alright, Mia." Narcissa comforted and I nodded half-heartedly, still looking at them.
"You are no daughter of mine!" Molly screamed as she marched over to us, wand at the ready. "I didn't raise you to be who you are now! I raised you to be who you were!" She said. Lucius had his wand drawn as she aimed at Draco. He fell to the floor. "No!" I screamed. Lucius fought back shooting curse after curse at her. Somebody dragged me away from the action. "No!" I yelled again. "Shhh, Mia." Fred comforted. "Why did you pull me away?" I asked, "We don't want you to get hurt." George replied. I could still hear the fighting. I kept trying to get there but my brother's kept dragging me back. "You can't stop me!" I said. "Wait why you would, you hate me!" I yelled. "We don't hate you, Mia! Trust us, please." They begged. Half an hour later, the fighting had stopped, everything was silent. But, the platform was destroyed.
Draco was on the floor, unconscious........
