Justice is a hoe for the Fate

The jury deliberates for a half hour and returns to the court. A member of the jury then hold up a piece of paper.

The man in plain black robe behind the raised desk asks

 How do you find the defendant? Guilty or not guilty?

Thump ...

Thump ...

Thump ...

 "Your honor, we the jury find the defendant not guilty."

I felt my breath hitching.

The judge speaks

" Miss Venesse Starwind,  I hereby announce that you're free to go in regard to the special reason of your mental instability."

"However, please do look forward to lock her in a an restricted area as potential danger and threats to public safety remain primary concerns"

" The Judgement is final"

" The court is adjourned"

" All rise!"

And the man in black robe leaves......

And that's how justice took pity on me

Again...
