Chapter 3

Kali POV

"TERRA YOU NEED TO BE FASTER!" (y/n) said, "I KNOW!" Terra shouted angrily. For the past few days (y/n) has been making the other Blades train for the Vytal Festival, "Hey (y/n) why don't you take it a bit easier on them." I said, "No, I had to convince Velvet that training for the Vytal Festival would be fun!" (y/n) said, "Did it work?" I asked, "Of course not! She threw Lilith at me and told me to and I quote, 'have fun'." He said making me blush, "S...So you and Lilith are seeing each other then?" I said, "Yeah we see each other all the time, I mean we do live with each other." He said, "That's not what I meant." I said, "What did you mean then?" He asked, "Never mind." I said with a sigh, "What?" He said as I walked away, "FORGET IT!" I said as I walked away angrily.

Terra POV

"What's her problem?" Lilith asked, "I have no clue." (y/n) said, 'COME ON! I have to get stronger!' I thought, "COME ON!" I shouted as I activated my semblance and a large blade formed, "IT'S ALOT HEAVIER NOW!" I said in shock as I struggled to hold my blade up, "I guess the weight doubles every time I use my semblance in succession." I said as my aura depleted, "D...Damn it." I said exhaustedly, "Good work today Terra." Velvet said, "But I want you to try again." She said as she transferred some of her aura to me, "Now do it." She said I nodded and activated my semblance and once the blade formed it immediately fell to the floor, "That weight comes from all the aura it takes to manifest your blade. I had the same problem with my arm when I first discovered it. I had to learn how to manage the amount of aura it consumed to manifest. I doubt you'll be able to do the same anytime soon, but I can help you." She said as she put her left hand on my hands and her right hand on my back, suddenly her arm transformed and began to drain the aura from my blade, I could feel her circulating the aura from the blade back into my body, "I can drain aura from external sources to use as my own, but I can also circulate it. And while I can't do anything about the weight I can help you manage your aura." She said, "In the tournament, we'll do this repeatedly to increase the weight of the blade and its destructive power." She said, "Right!" I said as my blade vanished, "Thank you Velvet." I said as I hugged her, "Terra, you miss her don't you." She asked as she hugged me back, "Yeah." I said, "I knew the two of you were very close, I'm sorry. It must still be hard on you." She said, "Yeah, but I have you and Lilith so it's ok." I said.

(y/n) POV

"(Y/N) BELLADONNA!" Kali said, "You, me, dinner tonight! It will be a lovely evening!" She said, "Kali what's gotten into you?" I asked, "I thought you liked girls who were forward and forceful so I gave it a try. Did it work?" She asked, "No, look if you wanted to have dinner with me then you could've just asked. I'd love to have dinner with you, but only if you start acting like yourself." I said, "R...Really?!" She said happily, "Yeah you're a good person who I'm proud to call my friend." I said, "Not what I was going for, but I'll take what I can get." She said happily as she ran off, "Where are you going?" I asked, "TO GET READY FOR OUR DATE!" She said happily as she ran off, "Our date?" I said as I walked away.

"(y/n)!" Kali said as she ran over to me, "Kali your hair." I said, "Do you like it?" I thought I'd try cutting it a bit shorter." She said, "It looks good on you." I said, "Shall we go?" She asked, "Yeah. where did you get reservations?" She asked, "I made reservations at a restaurant that is the epitome of class." I said as we left.

"P...Please tell me this is a joke." Kali said, "YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY THINK MCRONALDS IS CLASSY!" She said, "Of course not, but will you settle for this since it's last minute?" I asked, "Hmmm, alright, but just this once I guess it'll do." She said as we went inside.

"That was as surprisingly nice dinner all things considered." Kali said, "GET DOWN!" I shouted as I pushed her out of the way just as two blades slashed at us, "Oh so you dodged my first strike hugh? Impressive not many can say they've done that and those who could've were dealt with from the second!" a woman said as she tapped the blades together, "My mistress told me about you and to be warry of your power but now I'm not so sure that you're all she made you out to be." she said, "A...Are you from my aunt's elite squad?!" I asked, "Hmm, you could say that I am a member of an elite squad." She said, "Now that I've answered your question, tell me did you feel it when I cut you over and over?" she asked, "W...What?" I said, suddenly thousands of deep cuts appeared all over my body, "You're probably wondering when I cut you, well remember when I tapped my blades together well it was in that moment when the sound my blades made traveled through the air and reached your ears. In that microcosm of a second, I cut you thousands of times over." She said before she left as I fell back in a bloody heap, "(Y/N)!" Kali cried as I passed out.

Kali POV

After that woman attacked (y/n) I immediately took him t the closest hospital I could find, "PLEASE SOMEONE! HELP ME!" I cried as I burst into the hospital, suddenly a nurse took (y/n) and put him on a gurney, "WE HAVE A MALE VICTIM IN HIS LATE TEENS EARLY TWENTIES. SEVERE LACERATIONS ALL OVER HIS BODY! " another nurse said as she wheeled him away, "Ma'am what happened to your boyfriend?" the first nurse asked, "H...He's not my. W...We...We were just having dinner and then she appeared and tried to kill him." I said as tears streamed down my face, "Please! Please don't let him die!" I cried as I fell to my knees in tears. "WHERE IS HE!" a woman said worriedly as she burst into the hospital, "WHERE'S MY NEPHEW?!" She said, "Ma'am who are you looking for?" the nurse asked, "His name is (y/n) McCloud, but he's probably going by (y/n) Belladonna!" the woman said, "And what's your name and relation to the patient?" the nurse asked, "I'm his aunt and my name is General Carmilla McCloud!" Carmilla said, "It's you." She said as she looked over at me, "You're the girl he was on a date with." She said as she helped me up, "Thank you and I'm sorry for having you two tailed." She said as she hugged me, "Y...You were spying on us?" I said, "Oh please you don't honestly think you're the first pretty kitty to fall for my nephew? And you wouldn't be the first damn filthy Faunus to break his heart." She said coldly, "Now while I will fully admit that you probably saved his life this time, I highly doubt that you'd do the same a second time. Now get out of my sight, oh and if I ever see you with my nephew again I will kill you." She said as she walked away.
