BANISHEDThere was a community far and deep in the forest, it was called Donga.
Donga was know only by a few people, due to the fact it was so far away from everyone and everything in the area.
Donga was filled with farmers, who always produced a bountiful harvest, their hunters always came back with good catches, and so did their fishermen, who fished in the river that ran through the forest, then out into the ocean. They lived prosperous and never lacking in anyway.
Their people increased in numbers as the women gave birth with no complications, their land was protected by a concrete fence built a very long time ago. They lived happily safe and at peace, away from all other communties, not wanting them to taint their pure way of life.
You see the people of Donga live in the dark ages, they had no form of power or electricity, everything was powered by coal and oil lamps. They did all their task manually and preserve their food thesame way by drying.
And their most unique thing about the people of Donga was that they served the Goddess Aroma, and believed her responsible for all their good fortune. They had a shrine made for her worship that people went to pray for good fortune and thank her when said good fortune came to be.
But then there was always someone placed in that shrine to be the connection between them and the goddess. They were called chief priests. They were chosen by the goddess her self at a very young age of five. Then taken to the shrine by the then acting chief priests, who teaches the chosen ones everything there was to know.
And ensure they remained pure(virgins) for the rest of their lives to ensure the connection happens between them and the goddess , because she would never show her self to an impure soul. So it was, all chief priests were virgins for the duration of their entire life. Only allowed to love and devote themselves to the goddess.
