Broken Hearted

Marinette rubbed tears from her eyes. School had just let out and she was sitting in the park, crying her eyes out. Adrien didn't love her. He... He loved Kagami, and that broke Marinette's heart. Marinette looked up, furious. What did he see in her? How was Kagami better than her? "Marinette! Calm down!" Tikki said, worried. Marinette smirked. "I am calm Tikki, I'm just tired of being nice because when I am nice, nobody takes my feelings into consideration, nobody cares about me. I'm just done with this pain. Nobody cares about me, my feelings, anything! So why should I care about them?" Marinette growled, her fists tightening around her sketchbook. "Maybe I should show them what it's like to be me, what it's like to be hurt, over and over again." Marinette could feel the anger but didn't care. Suddenly, a voice filled her head. "Princess Justice, I am granting you the power to make them pay for what they've done to you. All I need in return are two simple things...' Marinette looked up, startled. "Well well well. Hello Hawkmoth." She said, smirking. "Listen here, you have caused me even more problems than those idiots at school, so why do you think I would team with you?" She could feel Hawkmoth's unease. "Well, if you work with me, you won't have to be afraid of me. And, you can get revenge on those who have wronged you, do we have a deal?" Hawkmoth said. "All good points Hawkmoth, but I still say no!" Marinette shouted, ripping her earrings off and throwing them down. A purple Akuma flew out of them, returning them to their regular form. Marinette sighed and picked them back up, putting them back in her ears. "Good job Marinette!" Tikki said, flying to her. "I'm proud of you." Marinette smiled. "Thanks but now there's an Akuma to catch. Spots on!" Ladybug opened her yo-yo and called Cat Noir. "Cat Noir, as soon as you get this, I was nearly akumatized while in civilian form but it flew away before I could capture it. Keep on the lookout."

Adrien looked down at his ring. Beep beep. It flashed, a green paw print appearing on its silver face. 'M'Lady?' He thought. "Plagg, claws out!" He said. As soon as he was transformed, Cat Noir jumped out of his room onto a neighboring rooftop. He opened his baton, clicking the voice message. "Cat Noir, as soon as you get this, I was nearly akumatized while in civilian form but it flew away before I could capture it. Keep on the lookout." Chat Noir looked up. Ladybug was nearly akumatized?! How did she resist Hawkmoth?! That was possible? Cat Noir shook his head. He had to meet up with her. He checked the tracker on his baton. She was in the park near his school. Cat Noir ran over rooftops as fast as he could. He landed in the park to find Ladybug pacing in front of a bench, a pink phone in her hands. "Hey, M'Lady." Chat Noir said. "Gah! Chat! You're here..." She whispered to herself, hiding the phone. Cat Noir scratched his head. Who did he know had a pink phone... Marinette? No, she couldn't be Ladybug, right? Cat noir shook his head and turned his attention to his lady. "M'Lady," He said, grabbing Ladybug's hand. "Did you almost get akumatized? Are you ok?" Ladybug looked at him, sadness in her eyes. Her eyes hardened. "Stupid cat! I don't know why you are here. You should just get out of my sight! Out of my life! I hate you!" She shouted. She tore her hand away and swung away. Chat Noir looked at his hands. Looking up, he stared at the spot where Ladybug disappeared. Something was wrong. Something was really, really wrong. 

Alya was the kind of person that didn't stop until she had answers. So, naturally, she was curious as to why she saw Marinette so sad the next day at school. "Hey girl! What's bugging you?" She asked good-naturedly. "Why do you care huh? You're just a dumb blogger whose life purpose is to unmask a hero! Why should you care about me? Why should I care about you for that matter! Just back off and chat with your nerdy friends!" Marinette shouted at Alya. Then, she turned and stalked off. What Alya didn't see though, was as she walked away, Marinette was crying her eyes out and cursing her name.
