You hadn't thought they'd be there.
They didn't expect you to remember who they were.
But you both thought wrong.
-
The party was your friend's idea. It always was in the end. You were just the one that accepted their fate and just prayed for the worst to not happen.
You didn't even know why it was being held in the first place.
"I don't know," your friend just shrugged when you asked them, "I just know it's gonna be full of fun and drinking."
You were now wearing a clothes a little too tight for your liking. It was as if you were going to a night club rather than a party.
But you were old enough to go to a club so-
"Yah, we're here." Your friend broke you out of your trance, doubts still swirling in you head about this party.
"Okay, Imma go to get us drinks and then we can chill, sound good?"
You nodded your head, eyes not really on them but instead trying to take in the loud and chaotic surroundings. There were people everywhere. Drinks everywhere. Couches everywhere. Rooms everywhere.
Uneasiness everywhere.
You gulped as you remembered the last time you had been to one of these parties. It gave you anxiousness just thinking about it.
They'd been there. And then everything had gone downwards that whole night.
The boys known almost all around the city. Their city.
Those boys were trouble wherever they went. Or if not, they brought trouble wherever they went.
Your teeth clenched at the memories of them, still fresh, coming to haunt you back.
You rolled your eyes at no one particularly and tapped your foot, trying to wait at your spot as people passed you and pushed at your body. A current so strong that if you even relaxed a bit, it could take you and then you'd be lost in the sea of bodies.
Minutes passed.
About a good and a half hour later, you give up on waiting. It was clear to you now that your friend had forgotten about you. The music was starting to become a loud dull boom to you. The volume was so high you knew you couldn't scream for your friend.
You groaned at the epiphany and started making your way through the bodies of people. You made a face as you felt the heat of all these bodies on you. Most of them were swaying to their own beat of music, not the ones the DJ was playing. There was a faint smell of smoke and something more vile and you knew there was more than partying going on here.
Now all you wanted was fresh air.
"Why do I even come with you if-." You started murmuring.
"Woah babe, I haven't seen you around here." Your movements were halted by a man whose hand had gone to gripping onto your forearm.
You frowned at his hand on you. What was this guy doing? You didn't even know him.
"Uh, yeah. I came with a friend." You let out slowly, hoping the friend part would give him a hint of him getting off you.
The man seemed to think about this before seemingly coming to a conclusion inside his head. He then smirked.
Oh no, he's one of those guys.
"Hey, listen, my friend's just right over there and I really need to go." You tried to back away from his grip, but it only got tighter. Of course, your friend wasn't really waiting for you, but it's all you had at the moment.
