"So are we going to do something about this?" Hoseok asked the two men in the room, who were pondering at their seats.
"Gang signs." Yoongi finally let out.
Hoseok and Namjoon both frowned as they looked at the older one.
"What?" Namjoon asked the obvious question.
"They were doing gang signs and I recognize them."
Hoseok stood up from his seat and neared the beanie-wearing Yoongi.
Namjoon's hand took resident under his chin as his eyes zoned in on the wall. He went into thinking mode. Something was bothering him about all this but he didn't know what it was.
"And so what hyung?" Hoseok asked.
Yoongi started nodding to himself and looked at a focused Namjoon. The older one knew that Namjoon knew what this meant to both of them. It was memories coming to hunt them now. Memories that had been made when they had only been underground rappers and on the verge of other secrets that came with their performances. Yoongi directed his gaze at a confused Hoseok and blinked slowly.
"We have history with those people, and- it's not really great history."
Hoseok took hold of the behind of Yoongi's rolling chair. He didn't have the slightest clue what was kind of history they had that was making both of them quiet.
"But- they cussed you and Namjoon out in public! And then they threatened to assault the younger ones!" Hoseok exclaimed in irritation.
Hoseok couldn't believe they weren't talking about what had happened and how badly it had looked on them. In public!
Namjoon finally broke his staring contest with the wall and sighed, "Hyung, it's best if we don't do anything about today. It was just a small scene that they tried to make."
Hoseok scoffed at Namjoon and looked at Yoongi who was nodding at Namjoon's suggestion.
Hoseok couldn't believe that these rappers where just letting it go, "Are you guys serious?"
Yoongi looked up at him from his spot with a grim look, "Well, what do you want us to do hmm?"
Hoseok blanked at this and his eyes started looking everywhere for ideas to throw at the older one. Now that he had the chance to talk he really didn't know what to say. He was just angered at the whole event that had taken place. He wanted to direct his anger to, or on, something.
"I-I, I don't know, write a song about it?" Hoseok concluded with his only thought.
Yoongi seemed to think about this.
Hoseok spared Namjoon a look to also see him slightly smiling at the thought. Hoseok knew that this would've appealed to both men. It was in their artistic systems. There was a reason why they'd done all those cyphers in the first place.
"I mean, we're not technically hurting anyone by doing that." Yoongi softly drawled.
"At least not physically." Namjoon cut in.
"Mhm." Hoseok nodded his head and waited for the response he was expecting soon.
"So."
"So?"
"So we'll try to see if we can get it started."
Hoseok broke into a big grin and pumped his hands into the air triumphantly. Don't get him wrong, he didn't want to start a fight or a battle. In the end he'd known that both rappers had wanted to do this since the beginning. It was just that Hoseok had been the one to vocalize these thoughts in the first place.
Yoongi spun his seat to face his computer and went to clicking his mouse, focusing on the bright computer screen in front of him. First, he went to search something he wanted to know before they plunged into this project. Once he found what he'd wanted to know, he nodded and lowly hummed in content.
"This might be fun."
Namjoon, who had gone to his phone to look at the text his manager at send him, looked up and asked, "Oh? Why?"
Hoseok pulled his hands down and placed them on his waist, in a superhero pose. He waited to hear what Yoongi was going to say.
"Those people have a concert- mm, more an event where people can go to freestyle rap and- they just happen to also be the coordinators of it."
Hoseok was surprised at the information. Yet, he didn't know how that was useful to their next up-coming cypher.
"And?"
Yoongi smirked, "And that means we can make this song and perform it in front of those people to make a commotion out of their event."
"Just like they did with us..." Namjoon finished the thought.
Hoseok and Namjoon took a little more time to process the idea and then it clicked. It was a counter attack. But, did they really want to go that far?
Yoongi knew this and asked, "The question is, do we all want to do this?"
Hoseok nodded immediately, "I'm in."
Yoongi tapped his fingers slowly on his desk, "So am I. Even though I know this isn't technically the right thing to do it'll be fun."
They just needed Namjoon's vote. Even though both Hoseok and Yoongi had decided, Namjoon was nonetheless the leader and knew what was necessary and better for the group. This was hard for him.
Namjoon thought about it and then his eyes brightened with an unknown plan. He grinned knowingly and the older men tried to guess what it was that the smart man was thinking.
"Okay, this might seem off, but," he stood up and checked his phone before smiling at his hyung, "I'm totally in."
A weight was lifted from all the men.
"But."
Hoseok and Yoongi frowned at the one word from the leader.
"But?" Hoseok repeated.
Namjoon, still grinning, shook his head and pointed at his phone, "I have a condition. Whatever happens, you have to trust me with whatever we do in that contest. You have to follow my lead."
Yoongi and Hoseok stared at the leader, internally confused at the condition he'd given them.
Why would they need to-?
"Don't ask, just know that I have a plan in mind for us to win this."
Win?
Yoongi quickly frowned, "Wait, win? Win what?"
Namjoon playfully scoffed at both hyungs, "I thought that was the whole point of this. To win this unsaid battle."
With that, Namjoon let out a "see you later" and walked out Yoongi's studio with a determined stride, leaving the older men to asses what Namjoon had left them with. He was off to start the plans he'd suddenly gotten the fire for because of Hoseok and Yoongi.
They were going to fight back after all.
