Totemism - Min Yoongi

You didn't exactly like the idea that you had to share your body with an animal spirit. It wasn't that all amazing.

"Tomorrow we're going to the mountains, don't forget okay?" Your mother announced to the whole table as you and your siblings ate the breakfast that had been made.

"Okay."

"Mhm."

"Cool."

You just nodded your head, almost embarrassed to have a say in the announcement.

See, your animal hadn't revealed itself yet. You were of age and it still hadn't presented itself. That was an embarrassment to anyone in your family. It usually meant your animal didn't think you were worthy enough.

You felt a nudge at your side. You turned to see your brother, Yoongi, giving you an almost sympathetic look.

"Don't worry, it'll come soon. There's always this year." Yoongi whispered only to you.

Easy for him to say, a freaking black panther had chosen him a few years ago. The black collar on him symbolized that. But you didn't say that. Instead you softly nodded your head at the encouragement and tried for a smile, "Yeah, you're right."

You didn't really want to think about it at the moment. All you wanted was to see your siblings morph into their animals. You always liked that part of trips to the mountains, where they went to hunt and just let their animals roam.

Especially Yoongi's. You didn't know why but you loved his panther. At first it had been pretty scary to get close to a feline as big as his, but you learned to put that fear away and see the animal for the beauty it was. It wasn't harmful, just playful in it's own way compared to the other smaller felines from your family.

You loved the animal spirit Yoongi had since it was nice to you, and only you from what the family told you.

"It growls and throws its claws at us if we near it." Your brother Hoseok once told you. Your other siblings had similar accounts.

You could not believe the claims. Yoongi's panther was a gentle and graceful animal that purred when you ran your hands through his fur. It was a whining, big cat that nuzzled onto your side when you decided to leave it to go sit at the family campfire.

You always shrugged off your siblings warnings for you to not be so much with the black panther, "I'll be fine."

Little did you know that this trip ahead was about to reveal dark sides about you, Yoongi, your family, and the animal that was so gentle to you, and only you.

You were not ready for what was in store for the relationship between you and that black panther you liked so much.

It's not incest, but I understand if it came off like that. There is backstory and maybe I'll make a pt.2 for this one. Just to explain what I mean with the secrets of the family and the animals.
