A week went by. Macy was out of the hospital. Since she's been home, she gone back to doing what she did when she first came to live the Cullens. She spends all day alone and doesn't really talk to anyone. She doesn't really talk at all and has barely said anything since she's been home. Currently, Macy was sleeping and the rest of the family was downstairs in the living room. Downstairs, they could hear Macy having another nightmare. "No!" They heard Macy say. "Don't touch me!"

"I'll go calm her down." Carlisle said as he got up from the couch and headed upstairs. He walked into Macy's room and went over to her. "Macy." He said, softly.

"Please stop!" Macy said in her sleep.

"Macy, wake up." Carlisle said, gently touching her shoulder. Macy shot up in bed and frantically looked around. She saw Carlisle sitting on the edge of her bed.

"Carlisle?" She said.

"Hey." Carlisle said. "You were having another nightmare." Macy nodded.

"Are you ok?" Carlisle asked. Macy shook her head and started to cry. "Oh Macy." Carlisle said as he wrapped her in a hug. "It's ok." Macy sobbed into his shoulder. Carlisle rubbed her back to try to calm her down. "Shh. You're ok." He said, comforting her. "You're safe now. Your father can't hurt you anymore." Macy heard classical music playing and she calmed down a little bit. "Better?" Carlisle asked. Macy nodded. "Why don't you try going back to sleep." Carlisle said.

"I don't want to go back to sleep right now." Macy said.

"Do you want to come watch tv with us for a little bit?" Carlisle asked. Macy nodded. "Ok. Let's go downstairs." Carlisle said. Macy picked up a blanket off her bed and followed Carlisle downstairs.

When she walked into the living room, she saw everyone there, except Bella, Edward, and Renesmee. "Hey sweetheart." Esme greeted her.

"Why are you guys up so late?" Macy asked.

"We all like to stay up late." Alice said. Macy nodded. She wrapped the blanket around herself and sat on the couch, in between Esme and Carlisle. Carlisle put his arm around her. It wasn't long before Macy had fallen asleep against Carlisle.

"What are we going to do, Carlisle?" Esme asked as she stroked Macy's hair. "She was getting better and it's bad again. She's gone back to doing what she did when she first came here."

"I don't know." Carlisle said.

"Can't you talk to her?" Esme asked. "She still trusts you more than the rest of us."

"I'm not sure if she does trust me anymore." Carlisle said. "I told her her father wouldn't come after her and that's exactly what happened."

"Carlisle, you couldn't of known he was going to do that." Esme said.

"I do think she needs to see a therapist." Carlisle said.

"She wasn't too keen on the idea before." Alice said.

"I know, but she needs to see someone." Carlisle said. "She can't just talk to Rose and Esme all the time. She needs professional help."

"I agree." Esme said.

"I'll try to talk to her tomorrow." Carlisle said. Everyone nodded.

The next morning, Macy woke up back in her bed. She guessed that Carlisle had brought her back up to bed after she fell asleep downstairs. She got out out bed and headed downstairs. "Good morning, baby." Esme greeted Macy as she came into the kitchen.

"Could you not call me that or baby girl." Macy said. "My father called me those names and it just brings up bad memories."

"I'm sorry." Esme said.

"We made breakfast for you." Carlisle said. Macy saw that they had made cinnamon French toast with sausage.

"I'm not that hungry." Macy said. "Can I just have some toast?"

"Sure." Esme said. "I'll make it for you."  Macy nodded and sat at the table while Esme made her some toast. Carlisle poured Macy a glass of orange juice and handed it to her. A minute later, Esme set a plate of toast in front of Macy.

"Thank you." Macy said. She started to eat.

"Are you ok, after last night?" Esme asked.

"Yeah." Macy said. "Thank you for letting me stay up and watch tv with you guys."

"You're welcome." Esme said.

"Macy, can I talk to you when you're done eating?" Carlisle asked. Macy nodded.

As Macy ate, Renesmee came into the kitchen. "Hi Macy." Renesmee said, giving her a hug. Macy winced in pain. "Are you ok?" Renesmee asked.

"Yeah. I'm still a little sore." Macy said.

"Oh. I'm sorry." Renesmee said.

"It's ok." Macy said.

When she finished, Macy handed her plate to Esme and followed Carlisle up to this office. Carlisle closed the door behind them and they both sat on the couch. "What did you what to talk to me about?" Macy asked.

"Well, I wanted to see how you were doing after everything you've been through recently."

"I'm ok." Macy said.

"I also wanted to talk to you about you seeing a therapist." Carlisle said.

"No." Macy said.

"Macy." Carlisle said.

"I don't want to see a therapist." Macy said.

"We think it would be good for you after everything you've been through." Carlisle said.

"Can't I talk to Rose and Esme?" Macy asked.

"You can still talk to them, but I don't think that's going to be enough." Carlisle said. "You need to see a professional."

"Do I have to?" Macy asked.

"We aren't going to force you to see someone." Carlisle said. "But I really think it would help you."

"I don't want to." Macy said. Carlisle sighed.

"We'll discuss it later." He said. Carlisle sighed. "Another thing I wanted to do was apologize." Carlisle said. "I told you that your father wouldn't come after you and he did."

"You said that he wouldn't do that." Macy said.

"I know. I'm sorry." Carlisle said. "You were already terrified when you first came here and I didn't want scare you even more than you already were." Macy nodded. She had tears running down her face. "Macy, I'm so sorry this happened to you." Carlisle said. "If I had known that your father was going to do this, we would have made sure that you would have been safe."

"Are you sure he can't hurt me again?" Macy asked. The tone in her voice sounded like she was about to start crying. Carlisle could see that Macy was starting to get upset. He hugged her and held her in his arms.

"Yes." He said, stroking her hair.

"I don't want that to happen again." Macy said.

"It won't." Carlisle said. "Your father is in jail. He can't hurt you anymore." Macy started crying.

"Why did this have to happen to me?" Macy said, sobbing into Carlisle's shoulder.

"I don't know." Carlisle said. "But, you didn't deserve to be put through that." Macy continued to cry. "Shh. Don't cry, sweetheart." Carlisle said, trying to calm her down. "Macy, I promise your father can't hurt you anymore. No one's going to hurt you ever again." Macy nodded. Carlisle continued to hold Macy and stroke her hair. Macy calmed down a little bit. They stayed like that until Macy felt better.
